• Conducted from scratch, through completely new business planning, staffing, sales training, distributor

relation management, and new regional and national account developments, while managing existing OEM

customers (Hyundai and Kia Motor America) with three office staff members.

• Managed all about market development, marketing materials and implementation of effective sales growth

strategies and operated day-to-day activities including supervising employees, controlling accounts

payable/receivables and inventory control.

• Provided forecasts and P&L reports to headquarters monthly, quarterly and annually using all relevant

information about customers, prospects, campaign and leads.

Key accomplishments

• Solely initiated and closed the official supply deal of 117 units (invoice valued at about $150K) of vehicle-

computer diagnostic scan tool to Avis Rent A Car USA and Canada that took over 1 year by providing business

case suggestions and a customized plan.

• Supported CARQUEST to supply over 150 units (invoice valued at about $300K) of vehicle-computer

diagnostic scan tools to its key customers like CarMax and Drive Time by providing effective technical

support including technical presentations and demonstrations.

• For the North American aftermarket business, managed to grow the aftermarket business from the ground

level to about $1.5 million annual sales by single item alone in less than two years.

• Established alliances and strategic partnerships, including Hyundai & KIA Motor America, Suzuki America,

• In charge of International Sales (for both OEM & aftermarket) for over 40 countries in Asia, Oceania,

Europe, and the Middle East while overseeing four regional sales managers and two sales support personnel.

• Cultivated existing distributors’ sales through customized marketing programs, including trade show

participation, distributors training and worldwide promotional events.

• Strategically restructured sales and marketing operations to optimize performance by transferring quantitative

sales focus into qualitative sales focus and adopting localized approaches to sales.

• Designed and managed sales strategies to maximize sales with new distribution channels.

Managed and maximized the sales of vehicle-computer diagnostic scan tools, resulting in an increase of

172% in three years (2004~2006, from $4.2 mil. (1,981 units) to $6.7 mil. (3,404 units) by restructuring an

underperforming international sales network and developing new distributors in over 20 countries, including

Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Poland, and Greece.
