Hello,

I am writing to you in response to your ad seeking classical musicians on SimplyHired.

I am a very experienced professional musician, and have presented more than 500 solo guitar concerts in the USA, Germany, United Kingdom, the Low Countries, France, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe. My usual venues have included concert halls, art centres, museums, galleries, churches, cafes, jazz clubs and festivals, but I am also experienced perfoming at social events such as openings, receptions, etc.

My recordings have been released on Treecastle Music, Folkways Records, Locust Records and Music of the World, and my repertoire is very eclectic.

My classical concert programs include the following

"500 Years Of Music For Guitar," is a chronological tour of the guitarist's repertoire from the Renaissance to the Contemporary (also including Baroque, Classical, flamenco, and jazz). The program includes music by J.S. Bach, Gaspar Sanz, Bartolome Calatuyud, Django Reinhardt, Thelonious Monk, Vernon Duke, Luiz Bonfa and others.

"Latin Cafe" concentrates on the music of the Latin world and includes music from Spain, Cuba, Brazil and Argentina such as flamenco, rumba, choro, samba, bossa nova and tango.

"The Guitar In America" concentrates on the unique styles of American guitar music (both acoustic and electric), including traditional finger-picking, ragtime, blues, jazz and popular song.

For a performance in a social setting, I would perform a mix of classical, flamenco, jazz, blues and Latin music.
