Working as part of team ensuring that the safety of the vessel is maintained at all times, my duties included:
Working in an operations room, maintaining safe navigation of the vessel under directional management
Other roles include seamanship evolutions, where I was responsible for maintaining the health and safety of
everyone taking part
Given control of steering large vessels under directional management
Highly trained in ships fire-fighting, damage control, first aid, health & safety and security
Responsible for safe handling and usage of hazardous and dangerous materials
Liaising with multinational organisations while at sea and emergency services when in dock to deal with any
situation that requires civilians to board a ship

Was specifically chosen by higher authority to join a brand new state of the art warship (HMS Daring), and
take her through many trials and exercises, when during my time onboard I had very good reports and a high
ranking army officer (VIP) sent a letter to the captain to praise my well mannered, disciplined nature (still in
possession of letter).During times in harbour I controlled access and maintained security, dealing with people
such as contract workers; VIP's; visitors and briefing them on health and safety regulations; checking valid
identification; conducting body and bag searches with metal detecting equipment.
