Chief of Mining Division), so I had the opportunity to gain a great deal of both: field and office

Limited Liability Company “Ferrexpo Yeristovo Mining” is a Ferrexpo
Group business entity engaged in development of a new iron ore deposit
in Ukraine. It is principally involved in production and sale of high
quality iron ore pellets used in the manufacture of steel. Ferrexpo’s
resource base is one of the largest iron ore deposits in the world (total
resources being more than 20 billion tones of 30% Fe average). I
manage approximately 400 employees, instruct Mining, Dumps, Drill
and Blast, Dewatering subdivisions, Surveys and Geology services,
Safety department and Supervisors to maximize mine operations
efficiency in a safe manner to meet production goals.
Functions
Daily discussions of priorities and production goals with the Mine,
Dump, Drill and Blast, Dewatering, Surveys, Geology, Safety and
effectively coordinate them to implement and accomplish these
goals;
Tight cooperation with engineering group for short-term mining plans
development. Discussion of short-term mining plans with Director of
Mine Operations and designers’ team to allow sufficient time for
survey control;
Monitoring and estimation of mine supervisors’ work targeted to reach
high level of both: safety and production, Training of operators,
paying extra attention to their self development and supervisory
skills;
Monitoring of equipment availability and set production priorities
based on it;
Supervision, discussion and coordination of PMs and repairs with the
maintenance personnel (Chief Mine Power Engineer and Chief Mine
Mechanic Engineer) to accomplish these priorities;
Preparation of production activities’ monthly summaries and individual
reports, if required;
Overseeing the recruitment of personnel.
