Shapematch Upgrade is a new product to be launched by Stryker in the spring of 2015. The project involves the

Web development for the new product

Project: CaseTrax

Role: Project Manager / Sr. Business Analyst (Web App Development and Support)

CaseTrax is a reporting app which gave users at Stryker OtisMed various types of reports they needed to

better plan, monitor and track the progress of the cases through each function within the operations

organization. The objective of this project was to try and prioritize ‘rush’ cases and at the same time know

where each case is at in the process. The project involved analytical reports too, which helped the

management make useful decision

Defined the Project Charter, Scope and documented high level User Stories to go along with it

Gathered, organized and documented mid level User Stories for building the application ground

up.

Detailed the Project Plan and defined deliverables and timelines according to the SDLC process

followed

Budgeted the project in terms of time and effort and did cost benefit analysis.

Recommended solutions to the management to engage third party organization to run the

development effort.

Gathered low level requirements and prepared the ‘Software Requirement Specification’

The project included completely revamping the UI for the surgeon plan approval as well as incorporating

additional plan parameters for the surgeon to view. The Project also included configuring the ‘Surgeon

Approval’ module to Safari specifications so that it can be viewed on the iPad and iPhone. The project

was undertaken as a part of the VOC initiatives and was a 510K submission to the FDA for a class II

category ‘Software as a Medical Device’
