Description:

Aetna Inc. (Aetna) is a diversified healthcare benefits company. It offers

a range of traditional and consumer-directed health insurance products and

related services, including medical, pharmacy, dental, behavioral health,

group life, long-term care and disability plans and medical management

capabilities.

The AUSHC HMO Enrollment application stores Enrollment data, also

called as member data. The primary functionality of the HMO Enrollment

System is the member management. This system feeds the membership data to

all the other systems in need. Although various product lines are supported

(i.e., Point of Service, HMO, Dental) by this system, the membership is

internally referenced as HMO Membership. HMO Enrollment system manages the

membership for the HMO Plans supporting Business Clients like Plan Sponsor

Services, Government Programs & Customer Services.

The primary function of the HMO Enrollment System includes Enrolling Groups

and Members.

. Entry, update and storage of member information for subscribers and

dependents

. Processing for HIPAA, COBRA and other legislative enrollment, termination

and notification requirements

. Processing for ID cards

. Provision of member data for use by other downstream systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

. As a senior member of the team, was involved right from the

requirement gathering phase of a project through the design, coding,

testing and until the implementation and warranty support of Major

projects in the HMO Enrollment application (Mainframe).

. Has worked on major enhancements to the application involving a new

product creation, new Service development by interacting with multiple

application leads within Aetna IT.

. Created and reviewed most of the project enhancement estimations with

the onsite/offshore team, AD (Application Development) management and

technical SMEs.

. Directly interact with the clients, technical SMEs, business analysts

and architects during the initial requirement phase, design review and

architectural discussions.

. Is a part of the HMO Enrollment Baseline (Production Support) team;

working on day-to-day activities, job cycle issues/Abends, IM tickets,

adhoc report creation and also worked on Service request changes.

. Has worked as an Install release coordinator - coordinating multiple &

complex project implementation at the same time for a release to

Production.

. Created and presented AD weekly dashboard, Level 1 and Level 2 project

status report to the Aetna and Vendor management on a weekly and

monthly basis.

. Created Project/Contract Amendment documents as part of Vendor

management process activity and also take care of timesheet submission

in the Plan view.

. Organized a well-prepared knowledge transition sessions to the new

members of the team on the healthcare domain and application. Created

a repository of all the supporting documents that are a part of KT.

. Involved in the creation and review of the Service Handbook - This

includes all the details related to building a new Service.

. Faced the Aetna audits and Cognizant quality audits with no/less

findings.

. Attended the Member Domain Triage/other triage meetings during the QA

testing support phase and report the status of any defects with

details/ETA of fix and other related details.
