November 2013 - Present, Home Front History Store

I have assisted my son in the store and now it is time to get

back into my field of interest.

February 2012 - October 2013, Harpers Ferry, WV Town Building Inspector

and Project Manager

I coordinated a large grant roadway beautification project and was the

building inspector for the town.

The project was delayed, so I resigned due to the lack of funding of the

project. As the town inspector I inspected and finalized the projects with

close out documents and final inspections.

February 2006 - February 2012, Jefferson County Capital Planning and

Grant Management Charles Town, WV

I worked for the County as the Capital Projects and Grants

Manager. My duties consisted of developing project

concepts for architectural and civil

designs, estimating and solicitation for entire proposed projects including

interior

architects, professional engineers as well as interior space concepts. I

managed $21 million dollars of construction projects over a 3 year basis. I

was the town Inspector for housing and roadway projests. Daily quality

inspections for work completed and payment based inspections for percentage

of payments on a monthly

. Three-million dollar Recreation Center

. The Rehabilitation of the 120 year old Jail house facility into

modern county offices.

. Sherriff's Office, the Emergency Call Center and the Ambulance

Service building.

. Restoration of a 168 year old historic courthouse.

Other duties while at the county ;

. I performed the duties as the county liaison to the various Towns

within the county for their Capital Investment

. I provided financial and field management guidance for various

State and Federal Grant-funded projects for local Towns within the

county.

August 2004 - January 2006, Jefferson Paine Construction Company Inc.,

Greencastle, PA

Jefferson Paine was a residential contractor. I was the

operations manager with duties including project and field employee

management. I also supervised the design and estimating departments.

September 2001 - August 2004, Arro/Hyder Consulting Engineering, Frederick,

Md.

Inspection service as the Lead Inspector. My duties included

inspection of Federal, State and Municipal water and sewage treatment

facilities and road construction projects in various Maryland

Municipalities.

Inspections on commercial buildings such as public schools and retail

sales centers. I initiated, developed and managed all in-house training

and certification programs for all new inspectors.

September 1994 - August 2001, Metrolina Development Company, Charlotte,

NC

I served as the Construction Operations Manager for a developer in the

North Carolina area developing hotel and general office building

commercial projects. My responsibilities included management of the

design and estimating department and supervision of the project

managers.

I also monitored the accounting department with regards to receivables

and payables ensuring proper cash flow and lien releases as required.
