Now
Currently, I am working on temporary basis in a project which is targeting Characterization and Testing the Fiber Optic
Networks for Canadian Pacific Railway, and main responsibilities are as follows.
• Perform all Measurements for characterization of Fiber optic network such as OLT Set, ORL, OTDR, CD and PMD
• Repair works and integration, includes splicing for Termination and Rerouting of FO Links
• Area of work, all Canada Pacific Rail sites in the following Provinces Manitoba, Saskatoon, British Colombia, and

2013
• Successfully managed Operations and Maintenance for a large scale Optical Transmission Network and IP Core
Networks including SDH, DWDM, Agg.L2 switches, MPLS and IPVN over terrestrial and submarine cable routes.
• Accountable to assign routes for IP/Core Data networks and Transport networks, focused on route diversity
requirements and technical specifications for interoperability of various Optical network technologies .
• Designed routes to extend IP VPN connectivity for enterprise data networks and data centers in government and
private sectors.
• Liaised with NOC in all service orders and faults related to Optical Transport Networks and provided alternatives
for traffic restoration
• Submitted proposals, design routes, follow up execution and commissioning for cable projects associated with
annual capital projects budget of $2.5 million, for development and expansion of fiber cable networks.
• Coordinated with OSP engineering teams for commissioning of Fiber Optic cable projects and monitoring execution
in order to ensure specifications and planned routes have been followed.
• Played an active role with engineering teams in Planning and Designing the routes for 800Km of Express cable
project starting from Kingdome of Saudi Arabia border and crossing all sectors of Abu Dhabi province, focused on
maintaining high reliability for International Transport Networks.
• Involved with committee responsible for planning infrastructure for a large scale IPVPN network to cater for video
surveillance system in all road sectors of Abu Dhabi city
• Maintained complete Database, Schematic Diagrams and As Built Drawings for Fiber cable routes; coordinated
with IT Team to integrate existing FO DB with Geographical Information System (GIS)
• Participated in committee accountable for the migration of Fiber network data base to the Network Resource
Management system (NRM), worked in coordination with Accenture group
• Reported and reviewed on day-to-day basis with superiors the key/critical observations/concerns and follow-ups to
