machines (X-Ray for inspection of solder joints of SMT components, BGA, and through-hole
parts), and AOI/RTI accordingly with IPC-A-610 standards.
- Log defects into product-tracking program; read blueprints/schematics and be aware of Quality
Bulletins: Non-Conforming Material Reports and stock-shortage sheets.
- Fine-pitch soldering of surface-mount and through-hole parts in accordance with J-STD-001
standards; desoldering and rework with and without a microscope. Post-SMT and Post-
wave/selective solder touch-up.
- Familiarity with different kinds of flux, solder, soldering equipment and soldering procedures.
- Test operations; functional test, HP, digital multi-meter, and some programming.
- Electro-mechanical assembly; prepping parts by trimming leads, tinning wires, inspecting parts
to ensure they are not damaged or defective and assembly; pre-selective solder/wave assembly.
- SMT operations including setting up paste and printers, inspection to ensure sufficient paste is
on PCBs before entering SMT machines for parts, running SMT machines, some fixing machines,
locating proper part reels, changing feeders, hand-placements, placing boards in oven and SMT
inspection. Fuji, MyData, and Europlacer.
