Previnitive maintanance on winders and spinning machines

keeping machines clean change out bad bearings,roller

shafts,cams any machnical parts worn, belts,also fix

machanical break downs. Replace worn pulleys, shafts,

chains and sprokets.

Filled in for shift supervisor when out. set up job

assignments on spinng and winding jobs. Make sure punches

on time clock were right.

I was hired as a yarn hauler and moved up to spinning

machine doffer. When automated spinning and winders were

put in I moved to spinning machine operator moved up to a

fixing job on winders. Training on this job I was able to

fix problems on machines to make them run more efficiency.

Also trained to run department when shift supervisor was

out.

Trained for three days going on job site and installing

carports and metal buildings. Hiring the help that I needed

to install for customers. We built buildings that customers

were well pleased and when they wanted another one would

request my crew.

grinder,welder sheet brake,pipe threader. Fork lift man

lift portable craine. Start up air compressors,water system

for start up plant and shut down. Basic electrical trouble

shooting checking for blown fuses. Changing bad calrod

heaters,barrel heaters, solid state relays, mercury

contactors, breakers, contactors and overloads. Changing

out circuit boards a.c.&d.c. motors,change d.c. motor

brushes. Rebuild water pumps,jonhson valves,air

cylinders,mac,numatic valves. Hydralics change out

pumps,hoses valves. Remove gear boxes replace seals

reinstall.

Train new mechanics for break down and preventative

maintenance.Replace broken or worn

chains,sprockets,chains,bearings,

pulleys belts,drive shafts,rubber rollers.

Conrods,adjusting rods. Replace broken oil,air,grease lines

rebuild oil,grease,air,regulators and lubricators.

Change over machines remove tools change to different

tooling for cup or lid size and packaging equipment.

Learned how to work on most everything in the plant start

up air compressors and all water systems. Our job is to be

able to repair all parts on machines from basic electrical

to modify or make parts. Read mechanical drawings of

machines and reading electrical schematics. Took a class on

basic electrical basic plc. Trained how to rebuild water

pumps,johnson,mac,numatic valves soldering copper

pipe,brazing fittings. Trained to use lathe,milling

machine,man lift,die handler,fork truck.

2004 - 2005

Previnitive maintanance on knitting machines and fix break

downs. Replace broken needles, yarn tension breaks when not

working. Tape belts rubber rollers chains, sprokets.

Hired as a knitting machine mechanic learned how to change

over machine to style yarn for different cloth. When a

machine pressed off cloth off cylinder and needles put

cloth back in machine breaking few needles.
