OBJECTIVE:

I am looking for an organization where I can gain knowledge and upgrade my skills to the best to meet

consumer’s requirements and satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Started in water wastewater field in Midland, TX in 1986. It was activated sludge 10 MGD plant with no

discharge, we had 2 primary clarifiers, 3 anaerobic mesophilic digesters with floating covers and 2

secondary clarifiers then flow went to our 35 acre ponds where is was then used for irrigation. While

there I obtained a class C and class D water certification. We had a full time lab tech so the operators

just collected samples and did maintenance.

Moved to Kansas and went to work in Wellington at their 3 MGD plant. There I obtained my class 4

certification after 6 months of employment with the City of Wellington. My duties were to maintain the

system and did settling PH, centrifuge, D. O. test, hauled sludge for ground application. We went out

BOD. TSS. samples to a lab for analysis. While with the City of Wellington I transferred to the electric

production in 1994 where I took over the water treatment for the steam boiler, condensate system, cooling

towers and gas turbines. I used HACH PH and conductivity controller to maintain the chemical balance. I

did all the maintenance and the calibration to both of the systems. Ran two types of demin units a cal

flow and a water-refining unit, did all of the chemical injections to get successful regins. Used caustic

soda (both powder and liquid) and hydrochloric and sulfuric acid. I used a DR4000 for water testing, ran

PH, hardness (total, calcium and ultra low range) conductivity, alkalinity, iron, copper, phosphate, D.O.

and bacterlogical samples at both the steam and gas turbine sites. In the off season we repack high

pressure valves, rebuild pumps and do repairs that we had problems with while the plant was online but

not bad enough to shut down. I was maintenance foreman for a crew of 6 men for a little over a year. We

did maintenance for 9 months and ran for 3 months. The state did not recognize this as water treatment

so I was not able to upgrade my certification.

I moved to US Filter, now Veolia Water in August 2001. I had a class 1 water treatment, which after 2

years I had it advanced to a class 4 surface treatment. I was working the night shift alone for 2 years

where I was responsible for getting all tanks full for day shift, doing two sets of samples, ph, chlorine,

turbidity, hardness (calcium and total) alk. CO2, iron, manganese, fluoride and closing out the daily

paperwork. Calculating chemical doses (lime, chlorine and fluoride). Maintaining lime sludge pulls, I

moved to day shift when needed to help in maintenance. I was site safety coordinator from Oct. 03 to

Jan. 05. Took care of the monthly training, kept all manuals updated and then to the Southwest

Wastewater plant where I was responsible for maintenance. I left Veolia water in 2007.

I then went to the city of Stillwater Oklahoma. Power plant and worked in the maintenance dept. for most

of the time. I worked in operations as needed to fill in for operators or during the ratta test we had to do

once a year. Mt main duties was working on the maintenance crew rebuilding and doing upgrades of

substations, transformers pads and pull boxes for control wires, containment pits. Also worked in shop

welding and fabrication of new structures. Worked there from 2007 till 2012.

I am now with Veolia water again in the Oklahoma City area. I work at the Western Street plant in

Edmond. Have been there since 2012 Doing lab testing, ph, tss, alk, chlorides, cl2, Nitrates, Nitrites,

Streams and maintenance on plant. When Dee is not there I am in charge of the plant and oversee two

other operators. While at Veolia I have obtained my class C water and class C wastewater lab

certifications for the state of Oklahoma.
