Volunteer Management

• Directed 750 volunteers for the Joint Base San Antonio Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program in support of 225,000 people at four military installations; largest volunteer corps in Air Force

• Persuaded Office’s of the Secretary of Defense and the Air Force to allow creation of Community Advocate Program; screened and trained 13 volunteer teams; delivered mandatory training to 75 branch organizations

• Worked with Office’s of the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of the Air Force; developed and executed volunteer program policy for Air Force; provided operational guidance to over 450 program managers throughout the world

• Supervised, scheduled, and maintained 350 volunteer sexual assault Victim Advocates; expertly guided volunteers to support 600 sexual assault cases – most in Air Force

• Created curriculum to train volunteers; corporate headquarters recommend other organizations benchmark training

• Managed 150 volunteer instructors responsible for delivering mandatory training; created training curriculum – 175,000 trained personnel

Community Relations

• Directed 200 community events; rallied 375 volunteers to propagate organization vision to over 250,000 people in military and civilian community

• Partnered with the Bexar County Sexual Assault Response Team including police, medical, district attorney, and non-profit personnel; harmonized relationship between military/civilian community and improved support procedures

• Guided military and civilian hospital executive directors to a support agreement regarding forensic exam procedures; advised on federal/state laws – a first in Department of Defense (DoD)

• Stood up division Sexual Assault Response Team program; facilitated the synchronization of medical, law enforcement, mental health, chaplain, and volunteer roles; 330 employees supported for the first time

Organizational Leadership

• Led the largest Air Force occupational training division; directed day-to-day HR and training operations for over 1,500 staff members and students, managed budget and physical resources worth $16M; Received “Best Large Division” annual award

• Executed transfer of 31 human resource programs from 8 different divisions into 1 support branch; over 400 man-hours saved per week

• Streamlined military separation waiver process in coordination with the legal department; decreased administrative processing time by 25%; saved $6,800 monthly

• Guided two military installations through congressionally mandated Government Accountability Office audits; rallied 3,000 volunteers to participate – zero discrepancies
