Maintenance Supervisor, Paint Shop, Arlington, Tx (6/10 – Current)

* Managed skilled trades to optimize PMs and reduce down time.

* Maintained and implemented all safety concerns. Through the BPD Process.

* Carried out weekend work, making sure Safety, Man Power, and Material were aligned.

* Installing GL/TL of GMS, to insure reaching our goal of BIQ3.

* Implemented STA and I Care Process to increase awareness and safety.

* Building the MTS for all 3 shifts all trades. Continuous improvement.*

Quality Control Engineer, Lansing, MI (3/05 - 3/06)

* Managed exterior quality program of specific parts (auditing, testing, documentation, performance analysis, etc.) for 3 models.

* Responsible for FMEA, DFMEA, PPAP, GD&T, along with control plans and critical characteristics of over 100 parts.

* Worked hand in hand with the DE (design engineer) to make sure parts did not cause a no build condition.

Red X Plant Master, Pontiac, MI (1/03 - 3/05)

* Supervised 8 Vehicle Assembly Engineers (VAE).

* Using JD Power and Associates, pareto principle determined projects to be assigned to VAE members. .

* Coached and signed off on all Red X projects to be turned into the regional master for certification.

* Coached and certified 10 Apprentice, 7 Journeyman, and 4 Masters.

* Lead the top 2 JD Power audits (vehicle pulls, and wind noise) keeping the numbers below target for 2 years on all models.

TECO WESTINGHOUSE, Round Rock, Tx 2/9 – 7/9

Receiving / Inspection

* Measured incoming parts with calipers, OD/ID Mics, Tesa, Conductivity Meter, scale, and Fluke Multimeter

* Using GD&T, read prints to determine parts were to the customer’s specification.

* Implemented material sheets to determine part composition was to the customers specification.

Wind Turbine

* Wired the entire control cabinet of the DeWind Teco Manufactured Wind Turbine.

* Compressed 212 pages of wiring schematics to a single page to expedite cabinet wiring. This process was used to compress all

wiring applications of the turbine.

* Analyzed cable scrap to determine waste and set up ideal cable lengths.

* Combined cable lengths and call outs with job station to expedite inventory pull of cable.

* Created audit sheets for control cabinet, hub, and all electrical connections to insure quality before turbine went to function

testing. (with this process testing went from 10 days to 2 days)

Research and Development Power Division

* Transformer design project. Building, winding, and testing of a 3 transformer, 4160 volt control cabinet.

* Designed and welded a 2 fan support housing used to cool the transformer.

* Designed and welded the induction coil support. Wound the coil to the support and tested it to 10 kv using a corona camera

to determine leaks in the coil.

WESTSHORE GLASS, Tampa, FL 10/06 – 9/07

A $35 million, privately-held manufacturer of tempered glass and glass doors.

Lead Process Engineer, 5300 W. Knox Street, Tampa, FL (current plant)

* Implemented Lean Manufacturing at this 200 employee manufacturing site.

* Created a 6-month and 1-year vision to deliver key Lean objectives in areas of decreased scrap, increased throughput, reduced

down time, and increased shop organization.

* The program was designed to be maintained by the managers and supervisors of each department.

* The system had to be bought off by the all members of the production team from plant manager to operator.

* Job Element sheets and Lean Manufacturing training manuals were created.

* Trained and installed 5S, Standardized Work, and Production Run Charts.

* Reduced scrap by 1000 lbs per day.

* Increased quality through put by 15%.

* Reduced changeover times on key machines by 35%.

* Reduced equipment downtime to less than 3% per week. Target of 4%.
