Credit Suisse, New York, NY August 2000 – February 2009

High Yield Research Group:
• Created databases from scratch to support two different business units: High
Yield Bonds Indexes and Leveraged Loans Indexes. That development included
design tables with indexes, stored procedures, views and triggers.
• Conducted replications between MS Access and MS SQL Server. Process
captures any changes in data and table schema that were advanced beyond
Microsoft’s operational functionally.
• Produced publishing reports through the design of the High Yield Bonds
Recommended List system that collected and tracked issues recommended by
the analysts. The entire application was written in VBA for Excel with MS SQL
Server as the back-end. This application contained a number of screens and was
used to collect data and to produce reports. It also contained a special report that
caught any changes in the recommended list since the last Supervisor Analysts
check.
• Created processes to acquire price values from different sources including
LoanX, Reuters, MarkIt Partners and Intex. The values were collected using
several methods such as servers, URL locations and direct data feeds from
external sources. The formats for the tacked amounts were raging from flat text
files to complex XML structures.
• Build processes that collected and managed data using Moody’s and S&P
Ratings.
• Formulated reports for Biggest Movers for High Yield Bonds and High Yield
Loans that were produced via overnight processes and distributed by e-mail in
HTML format. The reports were prepared for the daily, month-to-date and year-
to-date ranges and were distinguished between Best Gainers and Best Losers.
• Composed reports for High Yield Loans to improve diagnostic of loans from
different sources and to prepare for monthly Loans Indices.
• Generated Excel reports for daily, weekly, month to date and year to date
Leveraged Loans indexes.
• Created fuzzy matching algorithm for Leveraged Loans, which have not unique
identifier. That was large stored procedure, which makes mapping from very
restrictive conditions to more liberal.
• Instituted a report for Risk Management to reevaluate the risk of High Yield
Loans.
• Created searching for defaulted loans based on Moody’s ratings and other
criteria.
• Generated complex reports using Excel, such as a report containing more
columns than maximum allowable columns per spreadsheet, to maintain results.
• Created specialized Excel Ad-ins to support the analysts. For example, a large
amount of data which was presented on the chart labels overlapped and wasn’t
readable. A request was made to help organize all the labels within the chart. In
a specialized routine written in VBA the user can select any part of the chart and
request to spread the labels within that section. The labels are rearranged by
code and if the user is not satisfied with the solution he has the option to undo
the labels relocation and select a different region within the chart.
• Created over 50 fully automated overnight scheduled task used to load and
maintain data.
