URS Washington Division/Alberici Joint Venture

Pile Diving Superintendent, 2010 to 2012- on the Olmsted Locks and Dam Project

Olmsted, Illinois

• Marine Superintendent for 1.2 billion dollar navigational dam on the Ohio River using “in the wet”

construction methods.

• Job was an Army Corp of Engineers project and all applicable standards and specifications were required.

• Supervised and directed river crews in all aspects of river operations. Work included installing 24in pipe pile

for dam foundation, installing test piles, river bottom excavation utilizing crane barges and excavators,

coordinating fleet movements utilizing Hypack/Dredgepack software and GPS systems, installing plate

anchors for Catamaran Barge, coordinating and directing crews for underwater tremie concrete placements, as

well as barge placement for all operations.

• Supervised and coordinated diving sub-contractors with river fleet for various scopes of work including

underwater crane operations and underwater tremie placements.

• Led daily job site hazard talks and periodic safety stand downs with crews.

• Responsible for managing the construction of new marina, seawall, and dredging 60,000 cubic yards on

Scrub Island Resort.

• Duties included scheduling, material take-off, overseeing casting yard, importing materials, purchasing

equipment, and methods to deliver project on time.

• Contract value $6 million.

Coral Marine Construction

Project Superintendent, 2006-2007

Marathon Key, Florida

• Supervised construction of 400ft composite seawall with 400 ft. concrete cap.

• Worked one on one with private owner to design and build seawall.

• Contract valued $750,000.

Vortex Diving and Marine Construction

Project Superintendent, 2005-2006

Pensacola, Florida

• Project entailed the sequenced installation of 1235 ft. of new steel pile and timber fender system at three

contiguous berths within the Port of Pensacola. The project was closely coordinated with the port to allow

minimal disruption to the vessel-berthing schedule.

• Supervised the installation of 137 pre-fabricated fender H-piles, each 70 ft. long, using a land based crawler

crane with a vibratory hammer set in fixed leads in order to meet critical installation tolerances and a back

rack. Due to subsurface obstructions, over 50% of the piles required pre-drilling. A treated timber fender with

whalers, consisting of 12” x 12” timbers and chokes, then installed to the driven steel piles therefore

providing 100% wharf face protection.

• Work accomplished from scaffolds suspended from bull rail.

• Contract value $1.5 million and was delivered to the owner ahead of schedule without and safety infractions

or incidents.

were strip down to bare metal using 40 psi pressure washer, then repair all leaks and repaint all barge section

before out back in service.

pilings two feet below mud line. Once complete, design, build template, and drove production piles for new

wharf.

Sebastian Inlet State Park, Florida

• Supervise construction of Sebastian Inlet Jetty project for Atlantic Ocean-Indian River access at the Sebastian

Inlet State Park.

• This project was a restoration project which could not change the design or footprint.

• Job entailed drilling through 6 foot of coral and then set and drive the pilings, once piles were driven poured a

two foot deep walkway on top leaving openings for blowout panels.

• Blowout panels were designed for the hurricanes that hit the east coast of Florida.

Durocher Dock and Dredge

Project Superintendent, 2001- 2002

Colonel’s Island, GA

• Project was an auto cargo dock which consisted of over 800 concrete pilings, 90,000 sf of formed and poured

concrete deck, with nine breasting and five mooring dolphins connected by double tee walkways.

• Was responsible for managing the tug barges, cranes, pile driving, concrete placement, fender system, and

aluminum handrail operations.

• Hired as a foreman for the Pensacola Beach fishing pier project.

• Duties included survey to pile driving and concrete placement.
