ABOUT ME
I am an expert in program design and course development. I partner with clients to create customized, accredited, organizational
learning solutions purposed to effectively build cultural capacity, develop leadership, and engage employees. As a curriculum
partner with Brandman University, I leverage my online course delivery system to design and deliver industry-leading, highly
engaging, and timely courses based on client needs. Through my method, employees can earn PDUs or CEUs while they work.
For the client who needs ILT, I have developed close to 30 workshops on a myriad of topics for various purposes. While I have
used Captivate, Articulate tools are my favorites, and I own both Studio and Storyline. As an expert in Instructional Design, I

• Seventeen years total (oh my gosh) working as an Instructional Designer/Curriculum Developer/Educator with formal
grounding in instructional design methods and adult learning theory.
• Ten years working as an educator and curriculum developer for all types of learning environments, including Fortune
500s and 100s, top-tier universities on a national basis – including New York City, Irvine, and the Midwest.
• Extensive experience in the design and development of innovative and theoretically sound instructor led, e-learning, and
blended learning solutions.
• Developed two fully online Master’s Degree programs; 3 certificate programs including an online Certificate in
Instructional Design for Brandman University, and 50 online courses.
• Extensive experience with a wide variety of learning tools and technologies including authoring systems (Captivate – 3

Leadership Via Design (Irvine, CA) November, 2013 – Present
This is my Irvine- based sole proprietorship. For LvD, I designed, developed, and implemented various Instructional Design and
Organizational Development solutions for an array of companies.
Representative engagements for LvD include:
• Developed online store and LvD Online Institute featuring a growing catalog of different courses, certificate programs,

• Designed and developed a special education course for Generation Ready – Advancement Courses (ranked 3rd in terms
of customer favorites) using Storyline.
• Presently consulting with Pacific Dental Services to repair broken Storyline courses, uploading courses to their new
LMS, and develop curriculum utilizing Storyline.
• Currently working with Concordia University NE to develop online courses for their new MBA program. Current course
is Organizational Resources. Slotted to teach Organizational Development course.
• Currently developing a leadership course (using Storyline) for Galen College of Nursing working with former Disney
Executive and author Lee Cockerell. Flew to Orlando, FL to appear with Lee in leadership training videos and was
filmed around Disney World with a film crew hired for this role. This was an amazing experience!
Touro College (NYC) (May, 2012 – August, 2013)
• Taught full time (online) in position of Associate Professor, Teacher Residency Master’s Program.
• Designed and developed the entire compendium of online courses for Eva Moskowitz’s Success Charter Academies.
• Developed and delivered new user Blackboard 9.1 training for new users and other instructors.
Brandman University (Irvine, CA) (May, 2008– Present)
• Designed and developed 3 fully online certificate programs for various disciplines including: Autism Disorders,
Coaching, and Instructional Design.

Columbia University of New York City (February 1 – June 1, 2011 –Consultant - NYC)
• Worked as an Instructional Designer Consultant and designed a two-day workshop, developed HR Participant
Guide, training materials, case studies, and other materials for Columbia University in a blended learning format for
program called Navigating CU for Managers and Supervisors.
• Worked with SMEs, HR Client Managers to analyze needs for 126-page Participant Guide for Columbia
University of NYC.
• Managed needs analysis processes to ensure that requirements for key technical knowledge and skill sets were
identified. Employed a variety of methods to gather requirements, including, but not limited to: measurement data,
online surveys, focus groups, first hand observation, and interviews with legal department and HR VP and associates.
Celgene Pharmaceutical (June – September 2011 –Consultant – Summit, NJ)
• Instructional Design Consultant with Celgene Pharmaceutical to develop online courses, website, and design an on-
boarding program proposed to upper level management utilizing Articulate products.
• Produced high quality online learning deliverables, on time under aggressive deadlines, for interactive training
courseware, including the design of course content, interactions and graphics for SumTotal® Learning Management
System.
• Developed accompanying handouts and e-learning guides to go with courses.
• Researched and wrote a 30-page Evaluation standards document to provide guidance for other Instructional Designers.

• Wrote 50-page Participant Guide for Instructor Led training demonstrating new Employee Relations software for global
audiences.
