• GSA/NCR for all post-installations, configurations, upgrades, and management of all Cisco
routers and Catalyst Campus-switching network infrastructures were his daily responsibilities.
• Setup a management system with Cisco Works for Windows NT. The management system can
remotely view, configure, and trigger an alarm to the entire CORE Team in the event of a switch-
link failure or complete switch failure located anywhere within the Building.
• Design, spec, and implemented video conferencing systems with Radvision H323 MCU and
Picturetel P330 MCU on Windows NT.
• Served on the National Telecommunications Agency Team that supports the Citrix Metaframe

As Senior Network Engineer, Mr. Luu was assigned to the Systems Information Division of the
Maryland Department of Transportation (MDT), located in Glen Burnie, MD, which supports
forty five (45) remote sites throughout the state of Maryland.
• Thoroughly studied, analyzed, documented, and diagrammed the existing thin-net backbone
infrastructure and WAN connectivity of some sixty three (63) remote Motor Vehicle
Administration (MVA) sites. This included the MVA Headquarters site, all of its remote
branches, the Maryland Port Authority, the Maryland Aviation Administration, and the Maryland
Transit Authority sites throughout Maryland.
• In the MDT network infrastructure design, Mr. Luu introduced the Cisco CDDI/FDDI WS-
C1400 workgroup concentrator to interconnect MDT backbone for all IBM mainframes,
client/server RISC-based architecture machines, and Cisco Catalyst switching to fifteen hundred
(1500) clients’ Intel Pentium-based machines.
• Installed and configured two (2) Cisco CDDI/FDDI WS-C1400 workgroup concentration
devices and ten (10) Cisco Catalysts.

Job Title: Network Engineer/Computer Training Center, Bethesda, MD
At the Computer Training Center (CTC), Mr. Luu researched WAN connectivity for three (3)
locations within the Washington Metropolitan Area. He then designed and implemented WAN
connectivity for all three CTC sites using Cisco 2524 routers for the Bethesda site and Cisco
2503 routers at the Arlington and Alexandria, VA, locations. He implemented ISDN PRI on the
Internet and BRI ISDN at the Arlington and Alexandria sites. Mr. Luu also managed and
supported multi-platform LANs for the CTC, including Windows NT, and Novell NetWare.
