Fabrication, Erection, Welding Inspection, Quality Procedures, Welding Procedure Specification and

Procedure Qualification Record Various Site Management Functions, Piping and Structural Materials like

Stainless, Alloy, Carbon and Low Temperature Carbon Steel etc.

• Possess complete knowledge of application of International Standards/ Codes for process piping like

ANSI/ASME B31.3, ASME SEC IX, ASME SEC II and ASTM specifications with basic knowledge of ASME

B16.5, ASME B16.9, ASME B16.11 and IBR, checking and drafting work flow for the Plants and setting up

coordination with various engineering discipline on-site & off-site.

• Good understanding in interpretation of P&I Diagrams, Piping Isometrics, Pipe Support Specifications

based on pre-designed Piping Line Classes, Structural Drawings, Generating Piping Drawings and

Isometrics for construction, fabrication and erection with the ability to solve construction problems and

difficulties arising due to discrepancies in design or material incompatibility.

Site Engineer (Piping) & Quality Engineer (Structure)

• Currently spearheading efforts at Paraxylene Train-4, for Reliance Jamnagar 3 Program Project in Pali workshop.

• Responsible for preparation of Quality Action Plan (QAP) and NDT Plan as per the client’s specifications and

standards & codes requirements.

• Preparing, maintaining and reviewing of QA records like WPS, PQR & WPQ based on approved drawing and code/

specification requirements.

• Handling material identification and verification and conformity as per the purchase order, drawings, code &

specification requirements and maintaining records of status of materials during inspection.

• Studying and reviewing the material test certificates (MTC) for chemical & mechanical properties, heat treatment

requirements, non-destructive examination, NACE, percentage of carbon and carbon equivalent in the material as per

the client’s specification and material code.

• Physical verification of the material received in accordance with material test certificates and verifying certificates

with code, drawing and certification requirements.

• Responsible for liaising with clients/ third party inspectors for material inspection before release of material for

production and for the final inspection of the finished items.

• Checking materials to be used in the fabrication shop and counter checking of drawings / design plans before

fabrication.

• Inspecting daily fit –up along with handling material identification and verification during fit-up and the respective

material certificates against drawing/specification requirements.

• Responsible for preparation of pipe line drawing and erection of pre fabricated spools and actual measurement of all

fabricated Piping spool, Structural parts including orientation of nozzles and openings.

• Responsible for dimensional check prior to welding.

• Checking status and maintaining inspection and test records like Job No, Item No, Fit-up Date, WPS No, NDE status,

Hydro test, Painting etc. at all stages of the fabrication.

• Surveillance Inspection for the consumable control by welders at site, and welding process control to ensure the

welding parameters is in compliance with WPS/ Drawings. Monitoring that qualified welders/operators are being

deployed at site.

• Preparing and compiling daily welding and material record sheet and maintaining the records of WQT and welder

performance, visual inspection reports and final document for Dossier.

• Ensuring that all the Measuring, Inspection and Testing equipments are in valid state of calibration prior to use with

proper verification.

• Conducting stage wise inspection as per approved QAP and preparing & maintaining various quality reports and other

quality related documents for activity acceptance and final test packages.

• Spot checking during production welding activities and re-qualifying welders when the welder didn’t given the

satisfied weld.

• Raising technical queries in case of material substitution.

• Experienced in application of most of the American Standards such as ASME Codes & Standards (SEC II, V, VIII

DIV1, IX), ASME B 31.1, 31.3, 16.5, 16.9, 16.11 etc.

• Responsible for preparing/checking of Piping M.T.O and planning of fabrication and erection of piping system as per

availability of front & material.

• Accountable for fabrication & Erection of piping and creating & updating Mechanical clearance, NDT clearance &

Hydro/Pneumatic testing status report of loops.

• Successfully executing fabrication & erection of U/G and A/G piping spools and coordinating with Client,

Consultant, Contractor, Designer and Engineering Department regarding Technical Problems arises day to day during

Construction at site.

• Carrying out detailed planning and scheduling to ensure execution of the projects within time and budgetary

parameters. Coordinating with external & internal partners for handling technical queries, work schedule and design

related issues.

• Ensuring adherence to Safety, Environment and Health standards in all functional areas and develop & implement

measures for enhancing safety levels.

• Proactively identifying and rectifying problems to ensure smooth operations and adherence to design and quality

parameters. Implementing quality control systems/ procedures and achieve highest quality standards.

• Keeping up to date knowledge of latest technological advancements, regulations/ guidelines and statutory
