Client-Server interaction : Designed a program to establish

communication between client using JAVA: - server

using Java GUI framework like AWT, Swing, SWT, SwingX.

good understanding of Java Networking

Restaurant Activity : Worked on project on how the activity inside

restaurant works

Using C++ using C/C++. We had to create different classes while

developing

t his program. Learned how to use more than

one file in C++. The

p rocess of allocating and deallocation memory

using pointer was

used which gave a clear undersatnding of

pointer and how to move

data in C++ creating buffer which was

d ifferent from Java.

T his project gave a good understanding of C++

memory usage

and working with huge amount of data.

Semaphore using Java : Designed a project about the actual working in

i nside of

D MV Office with the help of semaphore using

Java. Semaphore

and i ts methods like acquire,

availablepermits and other method

was used to have control over the people to be

served. People was

consider as a thread and semaphore was used

to have control over

t he threads. Thread would get permission and

get blocked

accordingly by semaphore using method like

acquire and permit .

So understanding of semaphore and i ts method

was acquired

t hrough this project.

B ack end Database design : Designed database on Microsoft SQL server,

extracted data

using M icrosoft SQL f rom database using JDBC. In this project

employee assigned

a nd J DBC t he task of reminding manager of

i mportant meeting and events

had to be extracted from the database. All

t he epmloyee

i nformation with their responsibiliy was

recorded in the

database. Than the responsiblity which

matches the above was

extracted using JDBC. This was a good

i nt roduction to JDBC

concepts, creating connection between

J DBC and database

and than using the code to extract the

desire data.

Back end Database design : Worked on back end and designed database

f rom scratch for

Using phpmyadmin and t he new application. This application would

p rovide service

J DBC to the customer having issues with their

devices. Customer

and their device information was stored in

t he database. When

customer finds any problem with their

devices they would enter

i n our login page. Front end developer

would provide the

customer ID to the back end developer and

based on that we

would look for the problem and solution.

T his project gaves a

good understanding of JDBC work for real

application. We had

to use good amount of JDBC code which

familiarized us with

J DBC and database in depth.
