Negotiated with technology and utility partners which resulted in significant long-term savings. District budget received 4.0 rating from ISBE, the highest rating possible. Successfully wrote and obtained “Free Lunch for All” Grant for District. Collaborated with the Board of Education, teachers, parents, and administrators to determine necessary improvements and create annual objectives. Negotiated with the IL General Assembly to obtain tuition waiver program for employees’ out-of-district students. Handled yearly tax levy development.

Balanced the district budget, turned a projected $280,000+ deficit into a surplus and received 4.0 rating from ISBE, the highest rating possible. Updated technology in the district, including the addition of Smart boards and new computers. Successfully wrote and obtained several DEOC grants for the district. Successfully defused a highly emotional situation with angry parents when enforcing the ISBE restrictions (1 miles) for bussing in students through community outreach. Managed major repairs after a bad winter storm, including handling insurance claims and negotiating with contractors, while still maintaining students’ safety and staying within the budget for that year. Collaborated with the Board of Education, teachers, parents, and administrators to determine necessary improvements and create annual objectives. Handled yearly tax levy development.
