Vice President - Logistics, 2013-2014
In charge of leading a 9-person team in handling direct store delivery,
warehousing and container shipments through 21 plants in the US Southeast
and to locations in Europe, Asia Pacific and Middle East for this $4.2
billion business unit. Assist in planning and supervising for a private
fleet encompassing 434 tractors, 1,720 trailers, 2,155 straight trucks and
76 yard tractors.
> Smoothly helped in closing 3 large production facilities over 9 months
and optimized the supply chain network, saving an estimated $17.2
million.
> Rapidly restructured and enhanced the logistics function for this region,
downsizing 12 FTEs and saving over $780,000 in overhead costs.

Senior Director - Optimization and Technology, 2008-2013
Responsible for developing and implementing a new mobile strategy involving
next-gen handheld and onboard vehicle technology (XATA) to decrease

> Coordinated the installation of over 6,000 XATA units throughout the

services with private fleet of 1,786 pieces through the $1.2 billion
Franklin Park, IL unit, covering 3 regions in 20 states. Handled logistical
planning for over 40 independent distributors, representing 300 additional
vehicles. Personally selected, negotiated and supervised 3PL and 4PL
providers.
> Oversaw 3 separate plant closures in 2004 and generated over $5 million
in synergies in 2005.

transportation services through the Orlando, FL location. Accountable for
all aspects of facility maintenance, DOT/OSHA compliance and contract
execution. Organized and conducted internal training programs to enhance
staff engagement.
> Focused on always maximizing delivery volume, decreasing cost and
improving customer service through monitoring benchmarks, sales data
warehouse and other crucial IT resources.
> Key participant on the System 2000 ERP core implementation team,
migrating to JDEdwards World Sources and Manugistics.

Tasked with overseeing critical terminal functions and efficient operations

> Effectively maintained a fleet of over 70 heavy vehicles and equipment
systems with 22 union staff and parts inventory in all aspects of route
planning, timely deliveries, customer service and cost controls for MTW,
Inc. in Sheboygan, WI.

Ice Cream with a team of 4 non-union drivers, 4 tractors and 4
refrigerated trailers, based in Milwaukee, WI.

US Marine Corps 1988 - 1995
Captain/Operations Officer
Served in progressively higher operations and staff positions during
training and field deployment leading various units with up to 18 officers,
75 drill instructors, 1,500 troops and $50 million in weapons and rolling
stock. Acted as Logistics Officer during embarkations. Ensured compliance
with all relevant OSHA and EPA requirements. Formally briefed senior
management in field operations, budget requirements, logistical concerns
and material status. Hands-on knowledge of automated supply systems, office
automation software and related databases.
> Earned many medals and recommendations, including the Navy Commendation
Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (Gold Star), Combat Action Ribbon, Drill
Instructor Ribbon and others for outstanding team leadership and
