PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

Licensed Psychiatric Technician

8 years of experience caring for Forensic Mentally impaired and /or dual diagnosed Developmentally Disabled Individuals.

Participated in all In Service training classes.

Worked with an array of diagnosis’ including but not limited to Schizophrenia; Bipolar; Antisocial; Narcissistic; Down syndrome;

Prader Willi; Alcohol and Substance abuse dependency patients/clients. Complied with all established patient/client rights,

rules and enacted laws.

Followed Physician orders and remained in compliance to hospital, state and federal procedures, rules and regulations.

Monitored patient/client physical and emotional well being and reported any changes. Worked with treatment teams and

administered injections and oral medications.

Performed one to one patient/clients observations on patient/clients that were dangerous to themselves and/or others.

Behavior Health Technician/Psychiatric Technician

Performs and monitors vital signs, intake & output, and blood glucose readings. Cooperates with court orders from social

workers and other job associated personnel. Performs continuous visual observation inside and outside of patient rooms,

monitors patients on precautions, recognizes signs and symptoms of patient escalating, and utilizes appropriate methods in

reporting patient behaviors. Documents in electronic medical records.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Knowledge of social, environmental and physical aspects of mental and emotional disturbances and disorders. Uncommon

knowledge of medications and their effect, indications and contradictions.

Knowledge of interviewing and counseling practices and techniques. Immense ability to provide effective case management

and take effective courses of action. Sound knowledge of methods of medical case recording and report preparation.

Exceptional ability to keep accurate case records and prepare reports. Charting both electronically and manually.

Sound ability to maintain confidentiality as appropriate. Uncommon ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally

and in writing. Immense ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course

of work.
