EXPERIENCE Experience in the Netherlands
Hu-Friedy Mfg. Co. Inc
July 2012 - August 2014
English, French, and German Customer Care Specialist
Project Manager
I assisted clients in their purchases of Hu-Friedy products by
answering phone calls and emails in English, French, German and
Dutch. In addition, I assisted two high-ranking executives in
their daily work, and organized sales events and conventions
throughout Europe. I also visited clients personally and
actively participated in fairs.
I translated, proofread, and edited documents, emails, letters,
and sales analyses in French, English, and German. I compiled
sales reports, newsletters, and internal and external
communication in French, English, and German and also proofread
communication for less experienced colleagues in these
languages.
From April 2013 to May 2014 I was the project manager for the
analysis and strategic reorganization of Hu-Friedy's dental
training kits program in Europe. I pro-actively initiated this
project by presenting a short analysis of a largely
underperforming business area to my direct supervisor and the
CFO of the company in Chicago, IL. Soon thereafter I was asked
to expand my research and head a team of two employees in a
year-long project to develop a business plan to boost the
performance of the training kits program. The results of this
project were published in a 50-page memorandum in May 2014.
Many of my recommendations are currently being implemented to
establish more commercially beneficial business structures.
Xindao BV
November 2009 - July 2012
Various Multilingual Inside Sales Positions in English,
French, and German
I started as an Order Entry Clerk and after only two months I
was promoted to Inside Sales Representative. After one year I
was offered the position of Executive Assistant and, for the
final six months of employment, I was the Internal Sales
Manager for Austria and Switzerland. In this position I gained
considerable experience in managing all activities linked to
the daily work of a team of six motivated young professionals.
In my function as Inside Sales Representative I assisted
English, French, and German speaking customers in their
purchases of Xindao products from Europe, as well as customized
items from China. I answered phone calls and emails, processed
customer complaints, and assisted key clients in importing
products from China into the European Union. For these projects
I was charged with finding the right producer that best matched
the customers' requirements, set up a contract between Xindao,
the manufacturer, and the client, and assisted the customer
through the entire production and shipment process.
As Executive Assistant I scheduled meetings and managed the
calendar of two high-ranking management officials, and
organized events and conferences around Europe with 20 to 250
participants. I made travel arrangements and managed the budget
for each event, negotiated prices with internal and external
partners and helped prepare meetings and conferences in and
outside the Netherlands. I also translated documents into
French, English, and German.
Experience in the United States
Embassies of Austria and France to the U.S. June 2008
- September 2008
Event Management Intern
I assisted in the organization of various events such as
lectures, concerts, and exhibitions. For the Austrian Embassy I
worked on the organization of an important urban life
conference on how to enhance the use of the waterfront of
Washington, D.C. For the French Embassy I helped organize the
annual Kids Euro Festival in Washington, D.C. I contacted
possible venues and worked with other interns on fundraising.
Experience in Austria
High School Teacher (French/History)
September 2007- June 2008 / January 2009 - November 2009
I taught French and History to students aged 14-21 years old at
the two local high-schools. I taught 20 classes of 50 minutes
per week, prepared class materials, evaluated the students'
performance on a regular basis, participated in school
activities, and engaged in after-school tutoring activities.
Academic Forum for Foreign Affairs February
2007 - November 2007
Local Chairperson
As the Chairperson of the Academic Forum for Foreign Affairs in
Salzburg, I built up a staff of six motivated students and
young professionals who worked with me on various multilingual
events such as panel discussions and lectures. In August 2007 I
assisted in the organization of the Vienna Model United Nations
(VIMUM).
European Federation for Civil Rights August
2004 - November 2009
Bilingual Executive Assistant
I provided the president of the European Federation for Civil
Rights with administrative support over a period of 5 years
while studying and working in other areas. My main
responsibilities were translating and drafting legal documents
in English and German, doing research in the area of civil
human rights, and assisting in the organization of various
events.

the first point of contact for clients.
