Recent Professional Experience
. Design Leadership Commercial and Educational Facilities; Senior
Mechanical Engineer for work for the Locust Valley School District
including retrofit of an existing 600 BHP hot water heating plant to
resolve operational issues, ventilation study for NY State Code and SED
Standards conformance for three major schools totaling 300,000 sf in
area. Study included corrective recommendations and cost estimates.
Design leadership for the expansion and addition to two Mercedes Benz
dealerships totaling 40,000 sf in area. Design of the HVAC systems for a
five story 83,000 sf office building with VAV control and ERV systems.
. Management: Department Head for the Mechanical and Electrical
disciplines for a major engineering/consulting firm in the Maritime
industry. Projects included major replacements/renovations for piers for
the United States Navy and the Intrepid Foundation, high pressure gas and
LNG terminals, container terminal expansions, marinas and cruise line
ports of call.
. Management: Established cost control and project management systems for
a $1,000,000 +/year Architectural firm including detailed project reports
and project procedures. Reduced overhead costs by 27% and personnel
costs by 50% while establishing an on time performance record. Oversaw
detailed ADA studies for both Queens College and Columbia University
totaling over 6,000,000 sf plus managed projects for DASNY and CUNY for
new and retrofit projects.
. Laboratories: Managed the Schematic and Design Development phases of a
major laboratory addition and renovation project in upstate New York.

. SCA Boiler Conversions Program: Managed the Scope Report, Design and
Construction Support phases for the conversion of 22 New York Public
Schools from coal fired heating systems to gas fired systems with fuel
oil back up. Estimated Project Value-$110,000,000.
. Microelectronics: Project consisted of the conversion of an existing
clean room space for the installation of Epitaxial Reactor tools and
support and the addition of a remote Hazardous Gas (HPM) storage area and
distribution system for Nortel in Ottawa Canada. Estimated Project Value-
$25,000,000 (US).
. Pharmaceuticals: Management of design and construction, on site, for the
CGMP upgrade of Bayer's Animal Health facility in Shawnee, Kansas. This
2 year assignment included the addition of a sterile filling line and
upgrades to architectural finishes and MEP systems for solid, liquid and
ointment areas, animal quarters and warehousing. New WFI and USP water
and clean steam systems were also added as part of this assignment.
Estimated Project Value-$13,000,000.
. Industrial: Program Manager for the addition of a new fiberglass
insulation production line in CertainTeed's existing facility in Kansas
City, Kansas. Assignment involved the management and coordination of
designs produced in-house, client and twelve vendor design teams for both
the facility and the production line. Estimated Project Value-
$175,000,000.
. Commercial: Managed the MEP design for a new, grass roots, 260,000 SF
four building software development, office and training facility for BaaN
USA in Reston, Virginia. Estimated Project Value-$32,000,000.
. HVAC Consulting: Developed the Conceptual Design and provided consulting
services for a Thermal Displacement HVAC system for a new office building
for Phillip Morris in Krasnodar, Russia. Assignment included a one week
assignment in Moscow to present the concept to client representatives and
monitor its development by the local design team.
Work History
2013 to Present-Cenosystems, Inc.-Project/Program Manager, Worked with the
Lockheed Martin Energy Services team as part of the merger of LIPA (Long
Island Power Authority) and PSE&G (Public Service Electric & Gas) into the
entity PSEG Long Island responsible for operation and maintenance of Long
Island's electrical grid. Duties included review of HVAC and other
mechanical systems, construction administration/management, assessment of
stakeholder needs, space planning and employee move coordination.
Currently working as Construction Manager for PSEG Long Island managing the
construction of their Far Rockaway Customer Office due to be open in
September 2014.
2010 to 2013-H2M Architects + Engineers-Senior Mechanical Engineer
responsible for design leadership including concept development and design
implementation for HVAC systems for educational and commercial projects.
Also responsible for field investigation and analysis of operational issues
in HVAC systems, Lead the development of Department master specifications
using MasterSpec as a basis. Developed standard equipment schedule forms
for mechanical equipment specified by the firm.
2006 to 2009-Halcrow Inc.-Chief Mechanical and Electrical Engineer
responsible for both the Mechanical and Electrical Departments with a total
group of 13 professionals designing projects for the Maritime Industry.
