TARDEC /US Army, Educational Consultant 06/2014 - present
Teaching 9-12 grade students how to design and build an electric vehicle.
Taught students how to use CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor to model
brackets, flanges, sprockets and other parts for the car.
Introduced students to Labview programming for Data acquisition and circuit
testing
Students learned Vehicle Dynamics, Physics, Calculus, programming with
RobotC and Easy C., Motor controller programming, AC/DC motor theory
Students learned suspension, braking, fuel, steering, and other systems of
the car by hands on experience.
Youthville Detroit, Robotics Teacher 1/2007 - 06/2014
Taught Vex and Lego Mindstorm robotics to 6-12 grade students
Students competed in local, state, and national S.T.E.M education events
such as VRC (Vex Robotics Competition) and FLL (First Lego League)
Won 2010 Vex Robotics National Championship, 4-time Michigan Vex Robotics
Champions, 5th 2011 VRC World Championships (Spirit Division) 750 team and
over 27 countries competing

George Washington Carver Academy, Robotics Teacher/Science Lab 3/2002 -
10/2012
Taught science lab classes for students k-8 and was the schools rockery
teacher
Students learned aerospace engineering via project based hands-on national
design competition TARC (Team America Rocketry Challenge)
Students designed a rocket to travel 800 feet and have a total flight
duration of 45 seconds with a payload of 1 grade A egg.
Introduced students to CAD via the SpaeCad and Rocksim design and
simulation suites
Carver Academy Rocketry team competed in 3 national championships winning
the shortest flight duration time 2 years (2007 and 2009)
IBM Western Design Center, VLSI Design Engineer 09/1999 - 09/2000
(Mountain View, CA) (Co-Op)
Processed netlist from customer for custom VLSI chip design
Inserted clock tree into circuits for signal testing
Used IBM in-house VLSI design suites for back-end floor planning and
placement of ALU, MAC, registers, and other logic.
Global and local routing 5 layer process
Logical verification of circuits for customers
University of Michigan Radiation Laboratory, Microwave Engineering Lab
Assistant 01/1995 - 05/1999
Fabricated Microwave circuits for the EECS 411 and 511 classes. Students
submitted Gerber files and circuits milled on dielectric material
Tested Bi-static RADAR systems designed for DARPA (95 GHz) on rough
vegetative surfaces for characterization
Helped design experiments for electromagnetics 1 and II courses for
undergraduate students.
Motorola Semiconductor Product Sector, Summer Intern Summer 1998 (Phoenix,
AZ)
Designed amplifier to be used in LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite systems
for broad bandwidth applications
Learned Motorola internal design suites (similar to our high frequency
software suites like Libra, and HFSS)
Also learned how to use layout tools for chip fabrication in foundry
Was lead intern in my group for end of the summer presentations for the
department
