Description :

In UltraTech cement plant Electrical energy required is

83 KWH per Ton of Clinker and in which 1.65 KWH per Ton of Clinker is for

Compressed Air energy itself which is very high? The Total compressed

Energy consumed is amounting up to Rs143 Lakhs per Annum.

Though systems with application of compressed air can't be eliminated, one

has to be aware of the importance of conserving compressed air and there by

saving in electrical energy. Keeping this in view, our project at UltraTech

Cement Limited, was carried out with an objective to minimize power

consumption in operating compressors. The relevant data was collected and

analyzed.
