PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN
Title : MOTION RECTIFIER USING GEAR TRANSMISSION
Synopsis
Aim of this project is to design a mechanism using Gear transmission that could be used in several
applications that could convert any kind of motion : Bidirectional, clockwise, anticlockwise, to and
fro motion and reciprocating motion into uniform and unidirectional Motion at the output shaft.
The concept is different in the way that it can be utilized a plethora of applications related to
energy generation. The basic idea behind this project is the reason behind electricity production
from turbines is related to a dynamo. And the property of a dynamo is to provide electricity at
output when its shaft is rotated in one direction. But, if the direction of motion is changed to be in
reverse direction, electricity is cancelled out. In order to rectify this problem, we are going to design
a mechanical system that relates the motion in the input shaft to the dynamo in the output shaft
and gives continuous electricity as dynamo will rotate uniformly in one direction, whereas the
motion at the input shaft may change its direction.
