Marine technician

As a marine technician, responsible for the Non Destructive testing

works of marine structures such as ships and barges. There were technical

testing like Thickness gauging, Magnetic particle testing, Dye-penatrant

testing and Ultrasonic flaw detection for vessels and marine equipments.

Designer and prototype developer

Project: Design of communication card enclosures

A communication card enclosure is a unit contains, PCBs for

telecommunication industry. It also contains the operating essentials like

power, cooling, switching like control features. These enclosures are

designed for mounting in standard racks for communication control systems.

The enclosure is made of sheet metal and the other standard parts are

collected from specific manufactures.

There were three units viz, 4U, 5U and 8U in the enclosures. In this

project I did enclosure design in Pro-E wildfire4. The whole enclosure

sheet metal design was in pro E, also the parts cad files were collected

from manufactures and designed in it. Some of the production drawings were

prepared in AutoCAD. I have also assisted in manufacturing of these

enclosures in sheet metal workshop.

Home Automation system enclosure

A home automation system is used for home security solutions by

electronic means. The enclosure for the PCB is made of sheet metal with

normal environment usage capabilities. This enclosure is for mounting

indoors and to serve as a protective cover for the inner PCBs, connectors,

and other electronic equipments.

Laminar Flow station

A laminar flow station is a structure used for doing experiments in

laboratories with a controlled air velocity through it. It is generally

used for chemical experiments of substances. The structural components are

made by steel and acrylic sheet. It has a laminar flow providing fan

arrangement on the top of it and a work table for placement of apparatus

used for experiments.

The structure is made of steel channels, sheet metal and acrylic

sheets.

Tools used: Pro E wildfire4, AutoCAD.

Wiring panel enclosure

A wiring panel enclosure is for enclosing various wirings, switches

and indicators needed for a test setup of a electronic equipment.

Tools used: Pro E wildfire4.
