Inventory Analyst II

Duties Summary:

Supported Projects for IS related updates, upgrades, and new system installations. Did so by being a

technical advisor, investigating available technologies for correct fit, and financial responsibility.

Procured equipment, software, & services. Wrote specifications for RFP's, sat on RFP investigative

panels, Sat on RFP selection committees. Wrote purchase requisitions for equipment, software & services.

Largest Project I worked on was the outfitting of all Information Technology related equipment, software

and hardware for the new hospital, 7 floors. See attached letter of recommendation form CIO of

Information Services, Ken Kudla, and his comments about my ability to get the job done. Maintained

warehouse of computers, peripherals, and over 400 different replacement parts, by Inventory control.

Procure parts for warehouse stock for Technicians to use as Break / Fix, wrote Purchase Requisitions &

ordered parts. Worked one on one with vendors such as Dell and ZONES to procure items, track

shipments, follow up on change orders, and confirming RFP statements. Assisted with creation of RFP's,

interviewing of vendors selected to come in and further explain unclear RFP replies, was on selection

committee for RFP's vendors. Also worked with customers to determine what was needed and made sure

it was within organizations standards, and if not proper documentation was submitted to support the

purchase; or I would find an alternate solution that worked for the customer and procure that item(s). Sat

on Hardware and Software Standards committee as Technical Analyst guiding committee on hardware

and software changes organization wide or for a particular department. Procure correct Dell computers

and various IT equipment & software to organizations standards via Purchase Requisitions and order

entry system. Worked with management and staff to create proper hardware standard for entire

organization for all computing needs. Sourced calls from Help Desk to find solutions for users needs in IT

hardware, Software, or resolve an issue with an existing application or hardware device. Used remote

desktop applications to examine users systems, as well as MS Active Directory, Dell KACE KBOX back-

end MySQL and MySQL Workbench to generate reports of software and hardware on system. Worked

with procurement via "Service Now" ticketing system, and McKesson Purchasing & Materials

Management system (PMM). Worked closely with Purchasing Department to maintain order continuity.

Created Active Directory User Accounts for auto logon user accounts, and for auto logon devices.

Completed drive mappings, security for the newly created accounts tested, and implemented. Submitted

to management monthly inventory and orders with Purchase Requisitions for all parts and equipment

needed for repairs and installations. Submitted to management weekly reports of depreciated equipment

with breakdown of sent to salvage or donated, by mfg., model, and actual value. Maintained database of

equipment in service by several keys, and database of equipment removed from service because of failure

in an out of warranty state, or because of age in life cycle. Tracked all equipment and software with an

Asset Tag number, serial number Manufactures model #, department issued to or moved to, in a KACE

1200 network appliance with a MySQL back end. I used MySQL Workbench to create queries, and

generate reports of inventory in use. Also, supported in house cell phone network, and the Aruba AP's

connected back to the core router in each data closet. Also the on-site Dell certified factory repair

technician for the entire organization consisting of three or more campuses. Serviced and supported

3000+ desktops and laptops as well as servers Maintained fleet of computers on wheels mobile computer

framework for medical staff. Diagnosed issues, repaired, and reimaged if need be. Technical resource for

all Technicians that required help resolving issues with hardware or software. Beta tested new hardware

and software for compatibility within set standards I defined for all departments and staff requirements.

Certified Laser Printer technician, maintain fleet of 575 to 700 laser printers as numbers of installed units

change rapidly in a health care environment. Preprogrammed firmware in all label and identification

printers. Maintained an inventory of replacement components for these printers and Fax Machines as

well, and turned in weekly reports of status levels, on order, on back order status, emergency orders

placed to cover stock if all was depleted for various non-normal operating environments.

locations in the same manner and formats as above for Salem health, all computers, and related software,

and hardware, maintain Microsoft Enterprise Agreement for all Microsoft software in use at Hospital.

Clackamas County. Oregon City, OR (Mar 1995 to Apr 2007)

Duties Summary:

Maintain over 3000 users desktops, peripheral devices, and network communications equipment. Install

and maintain hundreds of software titles from Auto-Cad, to EPIC Health Care system. Administered and

maintained Microsoft Server Terminal Server edition Servers with Citrix Metaframe farm servers, (175+

servers in four farms), MS Exchange multi-homed system, MS SQL Servers running Counties Document

3000 plus users. As Technology Analyst, I did all IT related new system research, investigation, testing,

evaluating, and purchasing. I then supervised the installation, implementation, and go-live of all new or

updated systems. I wrote RFP's, reviewed completed vendor RFP's for completeness, and correctness.

Worked with a team of IS staff and Finance staff to pick finalists, and ultimately select winner. Supervised

winner in all phases of project, Delivery, Installation, go-live, training of County staff. Worked as Help

Desk Lead escalation Support Technician for four years. In this capacity. I was the top escalation point for

all IS Help Desk and Technical staff. I was the liaison between customers and IS management and

technical staff.

City of Beaverton, Beaverton Oregon (Mar 1992 to Mar 1995)

Duties Summary:

Maintained desktop systems for 400 users local in City Hall and remote at various locations, Library,

Public Works, off site Police Drug and Gang Task force locations. Maintained WANG VS65 network, HP

9000 Mini, and all data communications for Beaverton Police with Portland Police Bureau, for State, and

federal Law enforcement networks, LEDS, FBI, and others. Worked with Beaverton Police as Technical

Designed entire new layer 3 switched Cisco network, for entire city, local area, and broadband

approval. Wrote RFP supervised selection of RFP for equipment and wiring installation. Installed and

administer all new Windows Advanced Terminal Services Servers. Researched all IT equipment and

Microsoft Government Volume License, and then Enterprise Agreement later. Designed secure

communications network for interagency Gangs and Drug Task force comprised of Beaverton Police,

design had to be presented to the then director of the FBI for approval before installation, as it connected
