Risk Aware Response Against Routing Attacks In MANET

A mobile ad_hoc network (MANET) is a dynamic wireless

network that can be formed without any pre-existing infrastructure in which each node

can act as a router. The OSLR is the routing protocol used in MANET .Due to its dynamic

nature MANET has no clear line of defense, so, it is accessible to malicious attackers and

cause serious damage to the complete network. In order to handle this situation some

intrusion mechanism like binary or naive fuzzy response are currently being used. Still they

cause unexpected network partition, which destroys the network. Here we are introducing

a new technique called Risk Aware Response which is mainly based on D_S evidence model.

It will be struggling or fighting against the routing attacks in MANET. Using the Intrusion

Detection System it gives an alert and then it analyse the risk assessment of attacks and

countermeasures. Based on this risk estimation and tolerance it will make adaptive decision.

Using the decision and assessment a response action is being carried out to remove attack

damages in the network.
