Skills
1) Medicare –
More than 30 Years’ experience Family Physician who owned and managed a 6 doctor practice
for 25 years and now working in multiple different venues, such as Urgent Care /House Calls. I
have been participating as a Medicare provider services to my patients for 30 years. Also I
worked as a physician adviser for Accretive Health in Chicago for 3 months being educated and
trained as a consultant to hospitals, doctors and network in dealing with the newly enforced
Medicare regulations.
2) Public Health-
More than 10 Years’ experience As a family physician and leader of a large 6 doctor group, with
3 hospital affiliations for 25 years, I have been exposed and involved in the public health arena.
And one of the practices objectives was the improvement of our large patient’s welfare and
health. We were involved in flu immunizations for the general public, many at their job sites, so
that the public would benefit from protection and less chance of a local epidemic occurring in
our communities. This is just one example of how we were focused into public healing.
3) Coding-
More than 10 Years’ experience As a family physician and owner of a
large family practice group for 25 years, I have had to be involved in knowing all the different
insurance companies coding schedule so that the practice can be properly compensated for the
appropriate disorder and also avoid any fraudulent coding that would be detrimental to the
practice. Also was one of the first
Family practices in Central Bucks area 30 years ago to open and introduce patients to US
Healthcare HMO which eventually merged into Aetna. Have extensive experience in Managed
Health Care -HMO's as primary provider for 30 years.
4) Therapy-
More than 30 Years, I Have been treating patient’s mental health dysfunctions to improve
patient’s physical disorders for over 30 years. A significant amount of patients seen in a doctor's
office have stress related physical conditions, such as Hypertension, Irritable Bowel Syndrome,
Fibromyalgia, just to name a few. Also, the last 20 years have been an unofficial expert on Adult
ADD, with excellent results, and, supported by national experts
5) Mental Health-
30 Years, I have Practiced more mental health than most psychiatrists, since my focus was
diagnosing, treating and counseling patient's mental' health physiological dysfunctions in which
patients physical health showed a significant improvement.
Also have much experience and expertise individual, couples, group therapy for patients having
to deal with anxiety, depression, Bipolar depression, Adult ADD, ADHD, Substance /Alcohol
Abuse Also have been involved in Adult ADD for 25 years, beginning with investigation studies
by Shire Pharm for Adderall XR approval by the FDA . That has been followed by educating,
diagnosing and treating patients with ADD probably more than any other primary care physician
in the Pa -NJ area the last 20 years.
6) Medical Business management-
Started a solo practice 30 years ago, which eventually became a 6 doctor, 3 PA group practices
over 25 years. At the height of the practice, had employed 53 people with very little turnover,
significant loyalty and excellent productivity. Also was on 3 hospital staffs and was always
involved in the ever changing medical environment and making appropriate decisions that would
make our practice very progressive, while maintaining quality patient care.
7) Addictions medicine-
I have much experience in different venues, such as one on one sessions, and group therapy with
professionals for 5 years having to deal with multiple addictions, such as opiates, alcohol,
stimulants, tobacco, obesity just to name a few. That afforded me an opportunity to really see
how difficult it is for a patient to deal with this.
I have had especially good success with dealing with the underlying dysfunctions, such as ADD,
OCD, Bipolar, since that is usually the precursor to most addictions.
