EXPERIENCE

KCG HOLDINGS, Windows Systems Engineer October 1999-Present

• Ensured the stable operation of all in-house Microsoft infrastructure. Planned, developed, installed,

configured, maintained, secured, updated, and optimized all hardware with Windows 2003, 2008, and 2012

including Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SQL, Citrix (XenApp 6.5), PowerShell scripting,

SharePoint. Deployed more than 1,500 servers over the last ten years.

• Installed, monitored and maintained over 300 HP Proliant servers and 250 VMWare servers and

workstations. This entailed analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving developer hardware and software

computer problems in a timely and accurate manner.

• Developed and maintained an online inventory database utilizing IT Service Management tool Remedy to

keep track of all installed and spare Server Hardware. This resulted in determining an accurate installed

base, aided in overall planning and resulted in company cost savings by extending server lifespans. In

addition, created, updated and maintained Visio documentation for all Windows group projects.

• Deployed, supported, and managed remote site installations and upgrades in the firm’s domestic and

International sites including Atlanta, Boston, London, Santa Clara, San Francisco, and Tulsa.

• Responsible for enterprise-wide scanning and printing services. Provided end users with training on how to

scan directly to email and share folders using Minolta printers.

• Deployed new version of Web Server/IIS for Knight BondPoint and HotspotFX trading applications which

resulted in speedier access and reduced latency execution for the consumers of these products.

• Supported development programmers and their developmental servers with software installation, network

requirements and updates, and service monitoring (Service+).

• Performed comprehensive investigation and analysis that resulted in recommendations to upgrade various

hardware infrastructure. This improved performance for multiple trading applications including but not

limited to StatArb, HotSpotFX, Knight BondPoint, Modex, and Institutional Sales & Trading.

• While Knight Capital was contracted to perform IT-managed services for Direct Edge & Co. ECN,

successfully built and supported their EDGA and EDGX trading server platforms in excess of 400 HP

Proliant Windows servers. Worked closely with Direct Edge Management, Engineering and Operations

teams to coordinate successful installations, upgrades and support.

• Determined technical and project requirements working with Infrastructure, Data Center and Development

teams, and performed required software installations, hardware updates, and network changes to ensure

optimal system functionality at all times.

• Delivered optimal service by successfully communicating all changes with stakeholders including trading

teams, management, peers, and support groups. Verified proper testing performed after all changes.

• Provided an easy and smooth transition with Windows servers and VMWare workstations during Urban

Financial phase-out from KCG Holdings. Identified Urban Financial’s applications, migrated all Urban

Financial VMware servers and workstations from KCG to their ESX hosts, and trained the Urban Financial

IT team to fully support it.

• Upgraded 64 Designed Market Maker (DMM) servers from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 R2 at NYSE

Mahwah and Weehawken remote sites to meet compliance requirements. This upgrade allowed faster and

more reliable trade execution.
