Lead developer in assessment/survey/clinical data capture application. Provided “Survey Monkey”-like

functionality for behavioral science and clinical research studies. Specific additional functionality ncluded

HIPAA compliance adherence, skip logic, longitudinal study support including scheduled assessments

and automated email/SMS text prompting, multi-user/multi-project/multi-study support, and complex

question types with support for open-ended medical history and clinical case report forms . Additionally,

application provided project/study management interface for participant recruitment, assessment/survey

builder and version control, PDF creation of survey/assessment for compliance approval, and data

curation/reporting/analysis.

Lead developer in web application for mobile clinical application. Application supported clinical visits by

providing patients with mobile device connected to web application which in turn captured relevant

information directly from patient as part of patient intake. Appropriate clinical forms were created from

input data, providing clinician with patient status and thereby improving clinicians’ ability to quickly focus

on patient’s specific issues.

Lead developer in web application for interactive nutritional menu development for pediatric cancer

patients. Specifically, application supported social interaction of pediatric p atients undergoing chemo-

therapy. That is, a side effect of the chemo is often distressful nausea leading to nutritional deficiencies

from lack of appetite. In turn, with this application patients share menus for meal items they identify as

being healthy, nutritious and compatible with their chemo. The application integrates with a global

nutritional database to provide specific nutritional content information for menu items.

Lead developer in various additional web applications for research study suppor t. Provided web services

for collection and database storage of data captured via mobile/smart phone applications including

assessment/survey responses, GPS coordinates, ambient light measurement, and accelerometer

readings. Created application for management and award of e-Gift compensation for research study

participants – replacing the cumbersome system of mailing gift cards. Created various smoking

cessation applications, including scheduled reduction and automated/tailored SMS text prompting for

reminders and advice. Created two .NET MVC 4 web applications with goal of adopting MVC and .Net

Web API as group standard.

Developed code generator application integrating Oracle, SqlServer and MySql information schema

queries to build independent Xml model of the database structure. In turn, the application takes this

input and uses the ASP/.NET run time host to apply user built template scripts (ASPX, C#, etc.) and

generate data access layers or whatever repetitive structure the application requires.

Developed application to reduce Mass Spectrometry data to searchable database, and in turn allow for

building of complex spreadsheet reports correlating proteins, peptides, and common occurrence

information – to allow for pattern identification and causality in disease samples.

Developed code to provide additional functionality via a common library across .Net languages. This

functionality included simple database null handling as well as string compares and type conversions

and other functions modified to catch exceptions (i.e., null value exceptions) and provide single syntax

across mulitple languages and applications.
