Acquisition and Recruitment for IBM Philippines. Increased

recruitment capacity and delivery of 2011 agent hires while bringing

cost down by 20%. My scope and accountability expanded to include

the back-office and IT towers of IBM Philippines.

II. Regional Vice-President for Human Resources : July 2008 - Nov

Responsibilities : I lead and manage Recruitment, Human

Resources, Training and Development, Leadership Development and

HRIS team. Had the opportunity to grow the organization from 6,500

to 14,000. Co-led the acquisition of Dell's 1,200 strong off-shore

site in Manila and successfully rebadged 90% of the employees.

Responsibilities and Recent Achievements :

1. As head of Recruitment, I lead and manage a 80 strong recruitment

team that is responsible for hiring 700-800 agents per month and

all the support functions related to the ramp and expansion.

2. Supported the increase in employee headcount from 6500 employees

to 10,000+ employees; Increased hiring output 60%year on year

from 2006 to 2007

3. Part of due diligence team - Made final recommendations on new

site selection in Shaw, Mandaluyong and a Recruitment Satellite

Center in Davao which are now opened; Worked on a ready mode

status for recruitment centers in the University Belt and Baguio

4. Deepened University Relations initiatives in Metro Manila and

Metro Cebu

Responsibilities and Recent Achievements :

1. As HR Director for Global Exchange Services, I led and managed the

department. We exceeded the 2005 ramp that brought us from 175 employees

to 500; majority were programmers, software architects and software

engineers.

2. Developed a training program and roadmap that speeds the learning curve

of newly hired employees. Directed the creation of a competency model that

ties recruitment, salary and compensation and training and development.

3. Created a retention strategy by leveraging top C&B market practices.

Annual attrition rate for 2005 is at 8% vs. industry of 15% per annum.

4. Developed a holistic strategy that aligns HR services to fully maximize

the business potential of our business units.

5. Received the Manila Excellence Award for leading and transforming the

HR Team; Meeting the 2005 Ramp target; The HR Excellence Award for keeping

attrition in check; and the Singular performance Award for the robust

Internship program last year.

1. Met and exceeded the hiring ramp target of 0 employees to 4000 employees

in 3 years. We hired 5000 employees in 2 years and grown the portfolio

support, outbound, email, sales, insurance).

2. Developed a Sourcing Strategy to meet the hiring target. This leveraged

on the Academe, Government, NGOs and Recruitment Partners.

3. Mobilized a recruitment team (internal and external) to meet the

targets.

4. Created a branding strategy for Convergys in the Philippines

5. Developed an academe-industry linkage program that strengthened our

pool.

6. Received various awards for exceeding the hiring ramp targets for '03

and '04.
