To whom it may concern,

I am a twenty year veteran of Verizon Wireless as a network and quality assurance engineer. I

am seeking a position with PINPOINT RESOURCE GROUP that will help the company maintain and

further its high standards in the IT industry. Below I have listed a short summary of my work history

and qualifications.

In May of 2000 after 8 years in Network Ops I transferred to the lab to perform R & D along

with testing of new hardware and software prior to deployment to the production network.

The twelve years I spent in the lab were truly a metamorphosis in the cellular industry. In the

lab we had all the components to match the consumer network for testing. This includes but not limited

to IBM, HP, Sun Microsystems, Motorola, Alcatel Lucent and Nortel along with various transport and

power distribution vendors. During this time, I was involved in the first texting over cellular as well as

the first 1X data (152kb max) over cellular, and EVDO (2.4 Mb max) over cellular. I was also involved

in the early testing of what we now know as 4G LTE technology.

One of the last projects I was directly involved in is now known as Verizon’s “Share Everything”

plan. It was very time consuming but also on the fast track to be tested and released to the consumer.

I am well versed in deadlines and commitments.

My other responsibilities in the lab included maintaining our private lab network which

consisted of a Cisco 6500 as the L2/L3 backbone with several other Cisco switches 2950’s, etc. I also

maintained our Windows and Linux servers for Active Directory, FTP, DNS, VPN, etc. There were

various servers for the lab with different functionality.

Also part of my duties included working with different vendors and cutting purchase orders for

equipment for the lab.

In short I became the “go to” guy for a lot of different aspects of the day to day activities. I am

a problem solver.

11/92 to 5/2000 My first years with the company were spent down east in Jacksonville and

Wilmington building up the cellular network. When I started in 1992 there were only five cell towers in

my area around Jacksonville. When I left to return to Raleigh in 1997 there were twenty four. Myself

and one other maintained every aspect of the network 24/7 by 365 days.

In 1997 I came back to Raleigh to build out the first all digital network with CDMA technology. I

had firsthand experience from the ground up to commercial release.

My hope is that PINPOINT RESOURCE GROUP would take a look at the experience I have

gained over the years at Verizon Wireless and find that it would benefit the company in a most positive

way.

Skills/Expertise: Cisco switching and routing, network administration and troubleshooting.

Windows server administration, Red Hat Enterprise, Linux administration, Solaris. Project

management with time constraints, deadlines and commitments. Quality assurance and testing.

Best regards,

Marty T. Pulley
