Logistics Officer: Multiple locations (2002-Present)

Planned, developed and directed team procedures. Integrated the functions of supply, transportation, maintenance, aviation logistics and medical service into a cohesive unit. Primary focus was ensuring all weapons systems, vehicles and equipment were ready and available at all times. Managed the developing, forecasting, procurement, handling, storage and disposal of equipment. Additional duties included commanding or exercised staff responsibility for units for logistical support in supply and service. Planned, managed and directed internal and external personnel and units responsible for the receipt, storage and issue of all commodities of supply. Responsible for ensuring service support functions including, but not limited to, mortuary affairs, clothing and textile renovation, laundry and shower, subsistence, and aerial delivery. As logistics staff officer, advised the commander on logistical matters and unit mission capabilities. Also identified positions requiring general quartermaster experience or training.

Armor Officer: Fort Knox, KY and Fort Polk, LA (1999-2002)

Provided leadership and oversight to those concerned with the training and tactical reconnaissance units. Evaluated intelligence, estimated situations, formulated courses of action and made decisions. Commanded attached elements. Directed communications, location and construction for equipment. Directed operations, training, administration, supply maintenance, transportation and security activities of the team.

Infantryman: Marion, IN and New Castle, IN (1995-1998)

Provided maximum versatility in chaotic and uncertain conditions. Developed into a qualified leader who trained and directed teams and sections, while coordinating with higher and supporting units.

Career History

2012 – Present: Shaw Air Force Base, SC and Camp Arifjan, Kuwait: Logistics planner focused on contingency and crisis action planning. Responsible for synchronizing logistical concepts, policies, and procedures in support of achieving command directives. Focused on contingency contracting and bridging the gaps in the Army logistics chain.

2011-2012 Fort Hood, Texas: Lead logistics officer responsible for all Supplies and Services support to a 10,000+ man division. Responsible for the unit’s Command Supply Discipline Program to ensure units are properly resourced and meet the commander’s intent. Ensured unit property was within proper limits and coordinated the transfer of property if required to ensure and improve unit readiness.

2011 Ghazni, Afghanistan: Senior logistics liaison officer to the Polish Infantry Battle Group. Responsible for planning, synchronizing, and supervising all logistics operations to include life support, contract procurement, and management of logistical resupply. Provided oversight of $1.6 million worth of commodity and service contracts.

2009-2011 Fort Hood, TX: Operations officer for a Training Support Division responsible for planning, the capstone training events for mobilizing reserve component units. Additionally responsibilities includes Commanding General’s personal project officer, aide-de-camp, and officer in charge of the Division Operations Center.

2008-2009 Fort Hood, TX: Senior logistics officer for a Training Support Brigade responsible for the preparation and execution of mobilizing reserve component units. Supervised a 20 Soldier section, responsible for all aspects of services, equipment maintenance, and ground and air transportation, and supplies totaling in excess of $25 million.

2006 – 2008 Fort Carson, Colorado & Bagram, Afghanistan: Company Commander responsible for all aspects of training, readiness, discipline, morale and welfare for 106 personnel. Specific duties included overseeing the daily administration, internal supply, security and operations. Accountable for $7M worth of equipment, cleanliness, good order and discipline of unit’s housing.

2004-2006 Wiesbaden, Germany: Division Maintenance Officer and Chief of Logistics Plans responsible for devolving and maintaining maintenance policies and procedures for over 13,000 soldiers and over 7,100 pieces of equipment. Accountable for the coordination and execution of all division level maintenance procurements and preparation for worldwide combat operations and contingency plans.

2003-2004 Baghdad, Iraq: Operations manager in charge of 700+ man unit deployed to Iraq. Specific responsibilities were developing plans and orders, implementing and supervising the organization training plan, managing physical security, developing intelligence activities, and preparing quarterly and annual training briefs and guidance.
