below carry-over design by optimisation and integration of separate

component parts while meeting NVH, EBP, Quality and Program Gateway

The products portfolio included systems and components for Gasoline and

Diesel engines and vehicles: ECU, Injectors, Ignition, Fuel Pumps, Sensors,

2003 - 2006 Sales & Business Manager, Europe, Automotive Tier 1 and

New Markets

Reported to the Business Manager for Europe Tier 1 and to the Sales &

Marketing Director Europe. responsible for co-ordinating European

activities through an intercontinental team to identify and develop new

markets and products, and where necessary, start collaboration agreements

with other Tier 1 suppliers to win and develop business, revenue and

profitability. In Automotive field Collaboration Agreements included

Magneti Marelli for Engine Management Systems for FIAT, GM Opel and

Volkswagen. In New Markets field, attained funding from HQ to develop non-

automotive initiative and start Collaboration Agreements with Dell'Orto and

Rotax-Bombardier for Motorcycle EMS with Piaggio Group, Ducati, Triumph and

Hero in India. Fuel Management System Programs and Advanced Brake System

programs were conducted directly with OEMs and other light vehicle

customers. With initial revenue of zero, activities were put in place to

attain business, products and manufacturing footprint of more than E100m

per year by 2010 in EMEA, APA and Americas.

Reported directly to the Business Manager for FIAT and to the Sales &

Marketing Director EMEA, responsible for co-ordinating a team of 5 staff to

act as interface and managed relationships with FIAT, FIAT-GM-Powertrain

GM-FIAT-World-wide Purchasing to conduct activities for developing:

business, revenue and profitability. With initial revenue reducing from E30

million per year, at the end of the assignment business was projected to

reach E120 million from 2006 mainly due, but not limited to, Common Rail

Fuel Injection development programs for Alfa Romeo.

Worked as a private business and product development consultant with

selected British and Italian companies on business development programmes

in the engineering and automotive industry, and serving as "the British

Trade Representative Turin" acting on behalf of the British Consulate

General and responsible for developing the activity in North West Italy of

promoting the services and initiatives of British Trade International and

the DTI. The responsibilities included facilitation of activities for

of the systems were: contact with Fiat Technical departments for project

definition and costs, reorganisation of my department into

multidisciplinary platform teams for better project management, Improved

contact with Arvin R&D, Regular meetings with manufacturing plant

management for cost of manufacture and start of production activities.

up and development of the Automotive Business Unit of approx. 150 staff.
