EHS Manager November 2010 - August 2013

. Under my direction and management, the OSHA Injury & Illness

(I&I) rate for 2011 became the lowest in the plant's history,

1.70. In 2011, this GE Lighting Facility had the best safety

record it has ever had due to management commitment and employee

involvement.

. Report directly to the Plant Manager and fully engaged on his

plant staff. Interaction with a direct dotted line to GE Lighting

Business Level personnel.

. Responsible for a staff of 3 EHS personnel, including a full time

RN, OHN and 3 Lab Techs; 7 security guards over 3 shifts at the

Main Plant and the General Electric Employee Association.

. Responsible for all aspects of Radiation Safety; Served as

Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).

. Responsible for Greenwood facility and 2 other facilities

. At Greenwood facility, I&I rate was the lowest for 3 years, and one

year the rate was Zero. Zero Lost Time.

. Responsible for Water, Wastewater, Waste management systems,

Security, Fire Protection, Loss Prevention & Workers Compensation

management. Closed WC cases quickly, assisting to reduce costs and

litigation by 25%.

. Implemented recycling programs throughout the facility for steel,

copper, plastic, paper, cardboard, etc. Developed avenues for bi-

produces to decrease waste disposal by 35%.

. Implementation of a comprehensive Contractor Safety Program

. Delivery of required training to all affected employees including

initial and annual refresher training

. Implemented Root Cause Analysis Training for employees, Incident

Reporting & Investigation, Corrective Actions (CA) for all incidents,

Responsible for all EHS issues associated with Water, Waste, Air

(including Title V & MACT requirements), Plant Fire Brigade, and

Emergency Response Team. Ensured compliance with Title V Permit, LPDES

Permit, and Solid Waste Impoundment Permit.
