OBJECTIVE An employment opportunity as a Mechanical Design Engineer, based on knowledge of Mechanical
Design and Manufacturing, including design methodology, manufacturing technique, DFM/DFA, reverse
engineering, assembly sequence planning, etc., utilizing 3-D and 2-D CAD softwares like SolidWorks,
CATIA, Pro/Engineer, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and so forth, applying CAD/CAM or virtual reality
techniques, such as 3-D modeling & assembling, parametric design, re-development of CAD softwares,
virtual manufacturing, motion simulation, FEA, etc., regardless of what product the company is
designing or making, preferring full-time jobs but accepting internship opportunities as well, open to
traveling.
EDUCATION Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering; Clemson University, Clemson, SC; GPA: 3.27 / 4.0;
Minor: Design and Manufacturing. August 2014
Master of Engineering, Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation ; University of Shanghai for
Science and Technology, Shanghai, China; GPA: 86.2/100 March 2012
Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation; University of
Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai, China; GPA: 3.32/4.5 July 2009
EXPERIENCE INTERNSHIP. China South Railway Qishuyan Locomotive & Rolling Stock Technology Research
Institute Co., Ltd., Changzhou, Jiangsu, China. June 2013 – August 2013
Got skillful in using Pro/E: Undertook the 3-D modeling and assembling of an entire electric
wheel in a hub reduction gearbox using Pro/E ngineer, became a lot more skillful in using Pro/E
through the massive practice, and mastered modeling gears and other transmission parts.
Dealt with dimension changes or conflicts in assemblies compared with in parts: Observed
the dimension changes in assemblies compared with the parts themselves for parts such as
bases, wheel hubs and wheel cases, gained knowledge of secondary processing after
assembling, which has never appeared in textbooks before, and applied it into modeling finally.
Went through production line: Gained knowledge of the wind turbine units’ operating principle
as well as manufacturing process.
PROJECT MEMBER. University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai, China.
Parametric design of Flender's gear units of SANY Heavy Industry Co., Ltd .: Established a
single parameter-driven model respectively for each series of gear units, thereby generated all
parts in the entire series and saved as individual products separately. This project directly
contributed to the publication. July 2010 – September 2010
Design of deaerators developed by Shanghai Electric Power Generation Equipment Co.,
Ltd.: Built parts and assemblies of components in different series of products using SolidWorks,
and participated in VB programming to build up application programs that can modify the model
of deaerator according to customers’ requirements, such as changing dimensions and structure,
adding or removing parts, etc.. September 2009 – November 2009
Projects of Shanghai Jianshe Luqiao Machinery Co.,Ltd. June 2009 – October 2009
• Created parts and assemblies of a hydraulic system component as well as some other
parts with irregular and complex shapes using Autodesk Inventor.
• Modified the templates of approximately 200 AutoCAD drawings into a unified format
adopted by the corporation in order to pass the audit of PDM system, including the revise
of drawing scales, frames, specification list, dimensioning, etc.
Project of Shanghai TANDA Railway Vehicle Seat System Co., Ltd .: Created models and
drawings of some sheet metal parts of railway vehicle seats based on CATIA. March 2009
Project of Shanghai Baoshan Steel and Iron Plant : Created models of hydraulic elements with
complex shapes using SolidWorks. September 2009
SKILLS SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Matlab, VB, C/C++, etc..
