An International Telecommunications Design and Repair Facility

Site Quality Manager responsible for quality initiatives, corrective actions and data

reporting for the Networks and Applications Business Unit. Managed one local

inspector and one Quality Engineer located at Celestica in Thailand.

• Conduct regular Quality Meetings and Reviews with the 2 major contract

manufacturers, one located in Thailand and the other in Phoenix, Arizona.

• Perform audits of CM’s and other suppliers.

• Helped lead one supplier to most improved supplier for Spirent.

• Improved field quality of our products from >2 % DOA to less than .65% DOA and

field reliability from >3.0 % to less than 2.25 %.

supporting new product introduction. Inspired the quality engineering, supplier quality

engineering and inspection teams.

• Selected by Corporate management to conduct company-wide quality and

security training. This included being the Facility Security Officer in charge of

ITAR operations.

Preventive Action.

defects for major subassemblies. Directed the supplier quality engineering and

incoming inspection groups.

• Led the inventory reduction effort for the material review board by decreasing

inventory from over $1 Million dollars to less than $100,000.

• Promoted writing a new quality manual for a supplier and improving their quality

by 20%.

• Enhanced one supplier’s quality by 50% internally and 25% in the field. Worked

closely with supplier’s customer service and conducted step by step installation

of their product through out field installation.

REPTRON, 1997 – 2001

A custom computer builder servicing unique markets in aerospace, medical and

semiconductor capital equipment manufacturers. Custom software and components

provided.

Responsible for the Quality, Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering

Departments. This included 8 engineers, 3 supervisors and over 50 inspectors and

assemblers.

• Developed and implemented a plant wide, wireless procedure system for the flow

complete with process controls. Utilized DFT methodology in procedure format.

• Relayed out the facility and installed ground rods for all work areas.

• Received supplier of the year from a major customer. After turning the business

around.
