Supervisor, March 2012 to Sept. 2014.

Managing and supervising the daily operations in the largest log export facility in North America. Supervising of a unionized crew-with only one grievance going to committee. Managing 13 mechanics, up to 20 log scalers in the log grading operation, and up to 40 log handling machine operators. Extremely fast paced, best for the business decision making from in taking raw product to loading finished product onto ships. Honest, open communication with the employees and fair and equitable discipline. Administrator of the Fall restraint, Hot works, Lock out Tag out and Confined space programs. Two and a half years of safely and efficiently managing a 600 million dollar a year operation. During my tenure the Sort Yard set records for the amount of shipped volume and set records for continuous safe working days.

Weyerhaeuser, Western Timberlands, Sort Yard-Stacker Shop Mechanic, November 2009 to March 2012, Sept. 2014 to Present. Diagnose, repair and maintain many varied pieces of equipment and rolling stock, including Hyster forklifts, Hitachi and Link-Belt shovels, Cat and Volvo stackers, Letourneau stackers, Kenworth trucks, Kubota gen-sets, Trailer loaders, light trucks and more. Mill Wright repair of the Nicholson log DeBarker. Training of new mechanics. Serving as lead man on many occasions. Working as a team or independently. Working with vendors and contractors. Bringing to the shop and instituting more efficient resolutions to fairly complex issues. Always performing tasks with the highest levels of safety. LeTourneau Inc. Field Mechanic, July 2004 to November 2009. Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, assemble and fabricate 40 to 80 ton diesel-electric/hydraulic log stackers. These machines utilize diesel power to create 575 VAC 3 phase with a 500 kilowatt generator and convert that power into 600 vdc for drive motors, stepping that power from 240Vac, 120Vac, and 24 Vdc, for various control systems. Diagnosing and repairing all aspects to these machines, PLC’s, AC three phase, AC single phase, high voltage DC, frequency drives, planetary gear drives, open gear, 2,3 and 4 step reduction gear boxes, and more. Welding and fabrication. Power regulated with analog and digital systems and the diagnosis and repair of each. Travel throughout the Northwest performing emergency in field repairs. Training of new hires, exact record keeping and supervising crews of up to 6 people at certain times. Working as a team, or most often independently when in the field. Also shop work included the design and fabrication of new machines. To effectively repair and maintain Letourneau log stacker is as much Mill Wright as mechanic, as these machines are essentially an entire factory on four wheels.

LANDA Field Mechanic, Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all equipment in the LANDA line. Including design and fabrication of industrial wastewater treatment systems, waste evaporators/heat exchangers, parts washers and pressure washers. Repairing natural gas, propane and fuel oil fired water heaters and their related safety systems. Rebuilding and repairing centrifugal, parasitic and piston style pumps. Heavy emphasis on electrical troubleshooting, 12vdc to 480vac 3 phase. Small engine repair. Design and fabrication of plumbing systems in extreme environments. Travel I-5 corridor.
