Dear Sir/Madam,
I am forwarding my resume with this letter of interest in joining your organization. I am responding to
your ad on Craigslist.com. Along with my resume I am sending my letters of recommendation and a
copy of my Associates Degree in Medical Office Management.
As Office Manager for Dr. Hamman, I was instrumental in bringing up his collection percentage. I also
set up my own patient recall and wait list so that I could keep his schedule full at all times. Although, I
started as a Dental Assistant, I quickly became cross trained in all aspects of the office. I handled the lab
work, the front office, set up an inventory system to make purchasing supplies more efficiently, kept all
the equipment in working order, trained new employees, as well as being part of the interviewing
process, an helped wherever I was needed.
Working in the Emergency Room was, at times, sad and stressful. I learned how to prioritize and
multitask very quickly. I worked with a multiline phone system, answering phones and paging doctors.
Registering patients coming in by ambulance and those that walked into the emergency room was a
large part of the job. The various continuing education courses and seminars that I attended were a
great help in learning how to deal with patients and their families, as well as with other coworkers.
My husband and I have decided to relocate to Texas from Illinois. We are very excited about it, and I am
looking forward to setting up a time for interviews for the position you have available now or in the
future.
Feel free to contact me at anytime at the above phone number or email address.
Sincerely yours,
Enc: 2 letters of recommendations, my resume and my Associate Degree

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter on behalf of Ms. Wendy Gorski. who has applied for employment
with your organization.
I have had the opportunity to work with Ms. Gorski during my employment with
Evanston Northwestern Healthcare in Highland Park. During this time, she demonstrated
outstanding patient care skills. She always greeted the patients with a smile and was
willing to assist the patient in any way possible.
During my 17 years of clinical practice I have not had an employee as dedicated and
outgoing as Wendy. If she was not relocating to Texas, I would hire her. She would be
an asset to your organization and I give her my highest recommendation without any
reservation.
If you have any questions regarding her abilities or wish to discuss this matter in further
detail with me please call me at 847-***-****.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter in reference to Wendy Gorski who was employed first as a dental Clinical
Assistant than as Office Manager over the course of eight years. Wendy was a employee in
excellent standing when she gave me appropriate notice of her leaving for another position in
December of 2006.
I feel that Wendy will make an excellent worker in any office. She has many positive skills and
likeable personality. She is a hard worker who takes her job seriously. Wendy is industrious and
looks to find useful things to do to stay busy even when she isn't seeing patients. She is quite
capable of organizing the tasks she is given.
In addition to her dental skills, Wendy is compassionate with our dental patients. She is a good
conversationalist and listener especially when sometimes, due to stress, a patient needs extra
understanding and attention.
Wendy was always a student of dentistry and looked to continually update her skills. She has
many years of experience and likes to attend continuing education courses. She definitely takes
pride in the quality of her work and does a good job of assuring that all aspects of cleanliness and
sterility are adhered to.
In summary, I think Wendy has the qualities of a fine assistant or manager and would make a
welcome addition to any office. I wish her the best and hope you find her rewarding to your
practice as well.
Sincerely,
Joseph W. Hamman, DOS
