ACHIEVEMENTS:

Took an active part in new engine 18V48/60B commercial and technical negotiation in Dubai, shop tests, road

preparation for transportation from main road to power plant. Installation of the engine, alignment, commissioning,

site performance tests and handing over for commercial operation.

Successful commercial operation of new 18V48/60B 18.4MW MAN Engine after installation, commissioning, safety

tests, reliability tests.

Upgrading of turbocharger bearing TCA88 as per MAN recommendation with ACC’s plant team without site assistance

from MAN.

Controlled the vibration of bearing # 3 of Gas Turbine # 3 by taking the preventive measures project worth was about

400,000.00SAR. The main preventive measures were.

• Regular compressor washing.

• Overhauling of injectors to get uniformed combustion from all injectors.

• Regular follow up of jet pulse cleaning system.

Safe operation of M61 and M62 for operation hours in the year of 2013 are 7709 and 8051 equivalent number of days of

operation 321 and 335 respectively, which were much excellent than the average operating hours/year of DG sets. The

average operation hours for DG set 6500 ~7000.

Changed the machining procedure of crankshaft and saved the shaft got the machining from local vendor instead of

OEM much more economical.

Independent maintenance of new engines 18V48/60B MAN B & W and trained the staff on latest engines.

Maintenance and operation of oldest engines established in 1982 and 1983 Daihatsu Diesel and MAN diesel in Rupali

Polyester and Arabian Cement Co. respectively.

Worked as project supervisor on up-grade of switchgear and control system of old engine 8L52/52 and ABB STAL Gas

Turbines control monitoring system, a project by ABB Saudi Arabia of worth 16 million Saudi riyals. Successfully

commissioning and operational handover.

ACC management decided to take rental power during the foundation problem resolution and GTs level E –

inspection. But power plant team maintained and kept reliable the equipment well during this crucial time and

ultimately the rental power decision was cancelled.
