project provided a unique opportunity to implement multi language

capabilities, Multiple Time Zone functionality and a custom solution with

Advanced Pricing to handle managed Landed Cost requirements, besides making

multiple trips to China and working with Starbucks and Accenture partners

in China.

GBSS Oracle implementation is part of the Starbucks overall GBSS program

and it involves Implementation of Oracle e-Business suite of applications

in a Phased manner, in multiple geographical regions - EMEA, APAC and North

Americ. GBSS is a huge business transformation program aimed at providing

standard, global systems and processes built around Oracle EBS platform.

This would enable Starbucks to add even more muscle to its back-office

engine through which Starbucks employees (known as Partners) can run a

successful and growing corporation more efficiently.

Nagarajan is a Senior Functional Analyst on this project in the P2P track

and his work entailed:

- Designing of Global Procurement Processes across Starbucks numerous

businesses in EMEA and NA Region.

- Designing the procurement process and Inter-company sales process

across legal entities with Transfer pricing for Green coffee

solution.

- Designing of Integration with Third Party Logistics Providers for

Role : Functional Consultant - New Implementation

Modules : PO, AP, INV, OM and AR

Nagarajan was the Lead functional Consultant in a prestigious project in

Seattle. It is a new 11510 implementation with Financials, Distribution and

CRM modules. Nagarajan was the Lead Distribution Consultant covering Order

Management, Advanced Pricing, Inventory, Purchasing, Internet Procurement

and a few functionalities in BOM and WIP module. He was also assisted the

CRM consultant on the team to implement Install Base and Service Contract

module. The project offered an opportunity to him to implement new

functionalities with regards to OM integration with Service Modules,

Revenue Recognition for Support Service, complex pricing scenarios for

Service items and form personalization.

AUG 2003 - SEP 2006 Software Solution Group Senior

Project : Clearwire Inc - Oracle Apps 11i Apps

Role : Functional Consultant 11i upgrade project

Modules : PO, AP, INV, OM, Costing and PA

Nagarajan was the functional consultant for this 1159 to 11510 upgrade

project. His role entailed developing upgrade test scripts for the above

modules, executing various cycles of unit and integration tests of the

system per the script, issue resolution during the upgrade process and

exploring new functionality in 11510 and interacting with the users for

their implementation for example multiple AP tolerances and enabling java

based workflow mailer.

Project : Reddot Corp - Oracle Apps 11i Apps

Role : Functional Consultant 11i project

Modules : PO, INV, OM, RLM and QP

This is a new implementation of Oracle 11510 with a scheduled roll out of

Financial and Distribution in April of 2006. Nagarajan was the Distribution

Lead Consultant and worked closely with five super users from Reddot. His

role in the project was as under:

- Understanding current business practices in Purchasing, Inventory and

Order Management

- Designing and configuring Oracle to meet all key requirements.

- Conducting multiple iterations of CRP and refining the system design

continually.

- Finalizing functional specs for various interfaces, customizations and

data conversions.

- Supporting EDI Transactions in OM and AR

- Training Super User and Documentation

The project was challenging in terms of very tight schedules and non-

standard processes prevalent in the auto ancillary industry plus Nagarajan

had to learn, understand and implement a new module - Release Management.

Project : Centerpointe Research Institute - Oracle Apps 11i Apps

Role : Functional Consultant 11i project - Production Support

Modules : OM, QP, AR, AP and IPayment

The client was having serious issues revolving around Credit Card

Prepayment like duplicate charges to Customers, reconciliation between

Oracle AR, Verisign and Bank Account, Return / Refunds and poor

productivity in Order entry. The resolution involved determining the root

causes - which in this case were design flaw in OM Workflow customization,

Oracle bugs and Verisign software bugs. After fixing the bugs and

stabilizing the system, Nagarajan helped the client in reconciling their

accounts and cloasing the accounting periods. Other tasks involved Setting

up advanced pricing promotions and improving order entry process.

Project : GE Oil & Gas - Oracle Apps 11i Apps

Role : Functional Consultant 11i project - Production Support

Modules : PO, SSP5 (iProcurement), AP, OM, AR, PA and INV.

The client went live on Oracle 11i in July of 2004, but had major issues

like Accounting Inaccuracies, back log of transactions, inadequate training

of users, lack of productivity, technical issues related to Oracle and

Interface programs with legacy systems etc. Nagarajan roles included

understanding the issues and finding their root cause and suggest remedial

actions like data fix / cleaning, changes in process / setups, oracle

patching and user training

Project : AT & T Wireless - Oracle Apps 11i Apps

Role : QA Consultant

Modules : Procure to Pay - Purchasing, Inventory and Accounts payables.

As a member of the QA team, Nagarajan played an important role in the

successful implementation of a third party Archiving Tool. He had to learn

the Archiving Tool, develop test conditions and test script and go thru

multiple iteration of the archiving cycle, each bring up a new set of

issues, which were resolved by working together with the full team

consisting of functional consultants and technical resources.

Other assignments included day-to-day change requests in PO, AP, FA and PA

Modules.

Project : GE Oil & Gas - Oracle Apps 11i Apps

Role : Functional Consultant 11i project

Modules : Order Management, Inventory and Account Receivables.

In this new 1159 implementation, Nagarajan was solely responsible for Order

Management, Inventory and Accounts Receivable modules.

Nagarajan as member of Oracle Consulting Team was involved in several

projects as under:

Project : Boeing Corporation - Oracle 11i Apps and i-procurement

Role : Functional Consultant for the upgrade project.

Module : Purchasing, i-procurement, Inventory and Account

payable.

This was an upgrade project from 11.03 to 11.5.7 and Nagarajan supported

the client in PO, INV, Internet Procurement and AP modules. He role in the

project included exploring and implementing new functionalities, Issue

resolution by researching Metalink or by managing TARS (for software bugs)

with Oracle Support, user testing, setups and workflow changes. He also

demonstrated the functionality of I-Supplier Portal including ASN / ABSN

creation and PO Promise date change and acknowledgment.

Project : Anderson Hay- Oracle Apps 11i Apps

Role : Functional Consultant 11i project

Modules : Procure to Pay - Purchasing, Inventory and AP.

This was new 1158 project with Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management

(with Configure to Order), Financials, BOM, Engineering, WIP and MRP.

Nagarajan was responsible for Purchasing and Inventory activities and

setups. He played a vital role in supporting BOM, Engineering, WIP, MRP,

Order Management and Costing.

Project : America Pacific Corporation - Oracle Apps 11i Apps

Role : Functional Consultant 11i project

Modules : Procure to Pay - Purchasing, Inventory and AP

This was a chemical company implementing Oracle 11.5.8 with the following

modules - Financials, Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, OPM and EAM.

This was a full life cycle implementation using fast forward methodology,

which involved Business Process Analysis, Initial Design, Conference Room

Piloting, gap analysis, final design and setup, user training and final end-

to-end testing. Nagarajan was responsible for Purchasing, Iprocurement and

Inventory. The client used all the functionality of Purchasing and

Inventory - Web Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Blanket Purchase Orders,

Planned Purchase Orders, Sourcing, Purchasing Alerts, Inventory Planning

and Replenishment, cycle counting and Inter Org Transfers. Further he

gained valuable understanding of OPM - OPM Organization and its relation to

Oracle Apps Organization entity, OPM Item Master and its approval mechanism

and Manufacturing Accounting Controller. On the EAM side he worked on

purchase requisitions for EAM work orders (with Shop Floor Destination

type) both from Core Apps and Internet procurement.

Project : Starbucks Coffee - Oracle Apps 11i Apps

Role : Functional Consultant 11i Production Support and

Customization.

Modules : Procure to Pay - Procurement and i-procurement.

This was initially a post-production support role, where the client faced

problems in Purchasing Document Open Interface (PDOI), Item Import

interface program, Oracle Purchasing Alerts and some of the Internet

Procurement functionality. The client was not able to import expense

purchase orders and they were getting error during item import. Both were

raised as a P1 TAR, however the issue was mainly setup or data related and

Nagarajan was able to resolve the issue immediately.

The client was impressed by Nagarajan's problem solving ability and sound

understanding of Oracle system. They extended his role to PO customization

projects, which required functional scoping and defining functional

specifications, providing support to technical developers and unit testing.

He also was given the task of writing validation functions and procedures

under the direction of the Technical Lead. The customization projects were

as under:

1. Form Modification to allow change of Ship to Organization in a PO

giving due consideration to it impact to Requisitioning, Receiving,

Planning, Accounting and also previous form modifications. This

entailed gathering the functional specs to determine under what

circumstances to allow the change (for example disallow if a record

exist in the receiving interface table), what needs to be updated

besides the PO tables (for example the MRP tables) and a through

testing (about 40 conditions)

2. Developing a New API for PO update and control actions like cancel,

freeze, close etc. Here again we had to determine under what condition

the API could change a value of fields (for example the price cannot

be changed if there is receipt or the qty cannot be reduced beyond the

receipt / invoice qty) and impact on other table like PO History

(Archive), Action History and MRP tables.

Project : Honeywell Corporation - Oracle Apps 11i Apps

Role : Functional Consultant for the upgrade project.

Modules : Procure to Pay - Purchasing, Inventory, Accounts Payable and

iExpense

This was an upgrade project from 11.5.2 to 11.5.6 and Nagarajan supported

the client in the PO, INV, BOM, Engineering and AP functionality and was

mainly involved in issue resolution in PO approval workflow, AP accrual,

iExpense, Inventory transactions and performance issues in BOM.

Project : Sony Electronics San Diego - Oracle Apps Ver. 10.7

Role : System testing, Data conversion and Migration

Modules : Purchasing and Inventory.

Nagarajan's involvement in this project was mainly providing support before

Go-Live - unit and system testing, issue resolution and custom report

testing in Purchasing Module.
