Prepared, guided and led the organization’s first full scale budgetary creation process including 5 year, 3 year and

Led executive management team in formulation of upcoming fiscal budget of $125M. Additionally, initiated the

company’s first 3-year and 5-year financial strategic plan for future development.

performance goals and KPI measurements.

Developed, launched and managed the company’s first international centralized accounting function. Improvements

include cash management efficiencies, staff reduction, heightened internal controls, better overall financial visibility,

and cost savings.

developing appropriate business requirement documents to allow a comprehensive search and decision on the final

Assisted in closing $35M private equity purchase and implemented cash management and debt-reduction plans to

allow for systematic and aggressive pay down of bank-owned debt for equity purchase. Overall debt payback was

reduced 2 times the anticipated amortization of the original note.

CHAMP CAR WORLD SERIES, LLC / CART, INC., Indianapolis, IN January 2004 – June 2008

Controller

Open wheel racing sanctioning body and race promotions company.

Provided finance and accounting support to major company initiatives and special projects. Managed

a $90M budget.

Established accountability of financial results to functional area leaders and provided better understanding of how

operational decisions integrate with financial results.

Led team that enhanced budgeting model allowing more accurate revenue and operating expense projections by

working closely with independent CPA’s to close all entities and affiliates and prepared internal statements.

Acted as executive sponsor to the ownership & leadership teams for all subsidiary promotional and race operation

entities.

Created start-up entity and transitioned the company’s opening operations from asset purchase transaction of the

previous sanctioning body following bankruptcy.
