Worked as a full time Shift In-charge of Melt Shop having following facilities-

Two ConArc furnaces (4 shells 200 MT capacity) with different charge mixes such as

Hot Metal + DRI, Hot Metal + DRI +Scrap, Scrap +DRI, 100% DRI, 100% Hot Metal

2 Twin Ladle furnaces

1 Fixed Vessel Vacuum Degassing unit

2 Thin slab CSP Casters and Hot Strip Mill

Responsibilities-

Charge mix decision making as per raw material availability and desired steel grades.

Coordinating with plant production cell for Caster sequence and Steel grades.

Furnace Operation, Crane logistics decision making during plant operation.

Monitoring of caster sequence and speed and decision on which grades

Furnace refractory condition monitoring after tapping each heat.

making and decision making on ways to proceed.

Technical specification preparations for the enquiries floated by the customers for new

as well as revamping of steel plants (Primary Steel making and Secondary Metallurgy).

Business development in Indian market and finding new customers.
