Worked within a very large team of Unix professionals to provide pooled IT services to IBM's

strategic outsourcing customers. Our team was directly responsible for around 4000 AIX, Solaris,

HP-UX, and Linux servers. Duties involved working as an account focal, Linux technical lead

and SME, and as a transition and transformation specialist for new clients. Additional duties

involved providing work direction, supervision, and mentoring to junior staff for day to day

operations, such as system patching, platform maintenance, and troubleshooting. Platform

infrastructure ranged from Intel x86 (typically HP, IBM, and Dell servers), IBM Power, Sun &

Fujitsu SPARC, and HP PA-RISC, to HP Superdome and IBM System z mainframes running

Linux. Also responsible for hardware administration of the aforementioned system platforms.
