ACHIEVEMENTS
. My project "Design and Fabrication Solar Powered Bike" was published
in all major news papers and live telecast of project execution is
done by Doordarshan Television channel Hyderabad.
. Achieved "Gold Medal & Certificate of Merit" for standing first in
second year for the Mechanical Engineering branch in our college.
. I was selected as school people leader in my school among 1500
students.
. Achieved "Certification of Merit" won first prize with cash award in
the event working model in Sambhavaat 2k11.

Mini project :
Title: Analysis of "Boiler feed pump" in power plant.
Aim: To increase the efficiency of Thermal Power plant by steam driven
boiler feed pump over motor driven boiler feed pump .
Description: The motor driven boiler feed pumps consumes 5% of electricity
produced in a cycle that is a major drawback and speeds attained are
dependent study has been carried out overcome this with steam driven boiler
feed pump can be used where it makes use of exhaust steam from turbine it
requires a small turbine wheel in that way wastage of power can be cut down
.
Place of work: Bharath Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL, Hyderabad).
Duration: 20 days.
Conclusion: Recovering the steam from turbine exhaust to drive pump at
rated speeds.
Major Project:
Title: Design and Fabrication of "Solar powered Bike"
Aim: To convert solar energy into electrical to mechanical energy and to
produce required torque to drive the bike at rated motor speed.
Description: There are many types of bikes in the world such as motorized
bike that uses fuel as its prime power. As we all know there is hike in
fossil fuel prices from past few years and the usage of two wheelers like
motorized scooters and bikes had been increased enormously. Pollution in
metro cities & urban areas is also increasing continuously. And, also it is
not affordable to purchase a two wheeler for all class of society. Electric
bikes is a solution to all these problems but, the batteries which are
fully charged is sufficient for an hour or so and needs time to time
charging and there is no backup of power . Because of some weakness in the
existence system, the idea of a solar bike comes in to mind. The idea is to
make the bike which can last longer and can automatically be recharged when
the bike is in use/not in use by the solar energy. By the means of a charge
controller it can automatically turn off when the battery is fully charged
and continues supply of power is available for the bike. In case of poor
solar supply due to cloudy weather solar cells are electrically connected
to charge the batteries.
Duration: 80 days.
Conclusion: solar energy is being utilized to drive the bike which is free
of cost and a speed of 50 kmph has been attained and non polluting in
nature has been designed and fabricated.
