Academic project

Project Title: Designing less structured p2p systems for the expected high churn.

Description: Multimedia traffic requires an optimal resource management, real time

performance and quality of service in the data path. In addition it needs scalable

architecture and algorithms for admission control for real time flows. Packet will be

subject to delay and jitter in latency in the network.

Objective of the project was to have proper admission control. We measured

admissible bandwidth at the egress router; leverage it for admission control on the ingress

router and using diffserv to classify packets in classes at the core router. As there is no

requirement of maintain per state flow. Based on simulation we found that our system

shows better result in terms of scalability and admission control for multimedia traffic.
