I have worked with a lot of people in person by correspondence and over the phone. The subject matter was not the
same but I was always able to help the customer understand and find a way they could actually pay the bill or find
other options for them. So many people who find the need to deal with the IRS are stressed by the idea of talking to
IRS. They are not the enemy. Ignorance of tax law is. As a tax specialist during 2003-2008, my work was conducted
in a call center. I had the opportunity to help people to set their records straight. I had a lot of empathy for them
because tax law can be very complicated. I was proud of the job I was able to do.
